<p>#1 <strong>Volcano Vista</strong>: The Hawks remain undefeated in district play at 5-0 in 5A District 1. They went 2-0 this week vs Atrisco Heritage and Cleveland (Rio Rancho). <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='557040' first='Storm' last='Nguyen']</strong> scored a team high 19 points vs Atrisco Heritage on Wednesday and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='357657' first='Taejhuan' last='Hill']</strong> led the team in scoring with 24 points vs Cleveland this past Friday. With some help of from Carlsbad defeating Hobbs, the Volcano Vista Hawks are my new top ranked team. </p>

<p>#2 <strong>Hobbs</strong>: Despite the Eagles losing a crucial district game to Carlsbad, The Hobbs Eagles are still the team to beat once the State Tournament starts. They are still 18-3 this season and this is the first loss to a team in New Mexico this year. </p>

<p>#3 <strong>Carlsbad</strong>: The Carlsbad Cavemen were ranked 8th last week in the team rankings but after defeating the previously #1 ranked Hobbs Eagles this week, they jumped into the Top 3 in the 5A Rankings going into Week Twelve. They are now 2-0 in 5A District-4 and are tied with Farmington with the best record in 5A at 20-2. </p>

<p>#4 <strong>Farmington</strong>: The Farmington Scorpions lost their first district game to the Sandia Matadors this week but still lead 5A District-2 with a 5-1 record and 20-2 overall. They are led by <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='353913' first='Kamalani' last='Anitielu']</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='391245' first='Kapiolani' last='Anitielu']</strong> who combine for over 32 points per game this season. </p>

<p>#5 <strong>La Cueva</strong>: The La Cueva Bears are catching their stride at the right time. They have won 8 of their last 9 games and are tied for first place in 5A District-2 at 5-1. This past Tuesday vs Eldorado, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='459605' first='Alexis' last='Ayers']</strong> and <strong>Jordyn Dyer</strong> combined for 40 points vs district rival Eldorado. </p>

<p>#6. <strong>Sandia</strong>: The Sandia Matadors went 3-0 this week and picked up an important district victory vs Farmington; who has been one of the top three teams all season. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='391103' first='Sydney' last='Benally']</strong> led the Matadors in scoring each game scoring 29 vs West Mesa, 21 vs Cibola and 32 vs Farmington. Their win vs Farmington keeps them in the hunt for the 5A District-2 Title. </p>

<p>#7 <strong>Albuquerque</strong>: The Bulldogs lead 5A District-5 at 6-6 and went 2-0 this week in wins vs Los Lunas and Santa Fe. They currently have the third best record in terms of winning percentage at 19-2. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='353909' first='Leilani' last='Love']</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='353911' first='Ariana' last='Sanchez']</strong> have had a huge hand in that. </p>

<p>#8 <strong>Las Cruces</strong>: The Bulldawgs are currently 5-1 in district play and 16-6 overall this season. They lost to district rival Centennial on Monday but <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='353927' first='Emma' last='Christiano']</strong> scored 20 points. They defeated Mayfield on Thursday and are tied with Centennial at the top of 5A District-3.</p>

<p>#9 <strong>Clovis</strong>: <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='357695' first='Zarai' last='Lewis']</strong> and the Wildcats defeated district rival Roswell this past Friday. She led the Wildcats in scoring and they improved to 17-4 this season. </p>

<p>#10 <strong>Centennial</strong>: The Hawks went 2-0 in 5A District-3 this week in wins vs Las Cruces and Alamogordo. They were led by <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='391185' first='Joslyn' last='Montez']</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='353908' first='Aspen' last='Salazar']</strong> who combined for 38 points vs Las Cruces. That win helped Centennial regain the top spot in 5A District-3. They again combined for 33 points vs Alamogordo on Thursday. </p>
