Top Shooting Guard/Wings at the 810 Varsity Showcase 30

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Girls Hoops Missouri takes a look at the top shooting guards/wings from last Saturday's 810 Varsity Showcase 30, which was held at Lee's Summit West</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='261896' first='Bailey' last='Burns'] (Lee's Summit West): The 5'9" 2023 guard scored her 1,000th career point at the Showcase against Blue Valley North. She showcased her versatile scoring ability from all three levels. She scored on some tough takes to the basket and she could also create off the dribble very well. She also knocked down a couple of 3-pointers.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Rian Rainey (Lincoln Prep): The 5'10" 2024 wing put on a show with a game-high 31 points in the opening game victory against Basehor-Linwood. She is physically strong and defenders were bouncing off of her when she was attacking the basket. Her cross-over move was tough and she was scoring off the drive with ease. She could hit the 3-pointer off the catch of of a nice escape move off the bounce.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Aubrey Shaw (Blue Valley North): A talented 6'2" 2025 standout who is really positionless because she can excel anywhere on the court. The young lefty was very comfortable as the team's primary ball handler and facilitator. She has excellent court vision and she made good decisions with the ball. She can hit the Corner 3-pointer and get inside the lane and score over smaller defenders.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Grace McCallop (Bishop Miege): An athletic 5'9" 2025 guard who showed ability to impact the game at both ends of the floor. Her length and great instincts make her a disruptive force on the defensive end. She's also quick with a strong motor. She is also an excellent slasher on the offensive end with deep shooting range on her 3-point shot.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='335933' first='Abby' last='Wendte'] (Lee's Summit West): A 5'9" 2025 guard who has good athleticism and she excels at both ends of the court. She got into the passing lanes well to pick off steals and get into transition. She has confident handles and she attacks the basket well, plus she has a smooth pull-up jumper in the mid range.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kirston Verhulst (Bishop Miege): A 5'7" 2025 guard who did an excellent job shooting the ball from 3-point range. She was dangerous off the catch and she did a fine job of moving without the basketball.
