The matchup at the Honda Center today is between the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers and Etiwanda Eagles, this game should go down to the wire, but each of these teams are liable to take over and it could be a blowout. We are excited to see this matchup this evening. Sierra Canyon (29-0); (10-0) in league play, Etiwanda (29-2); (10-0) in league play respectively.

Honda Center, Saturday, February 25, 2023
6:00PM on Main Court
Final Score: Sierra Canyon 70, Etiwanda 57

Game Evaluations:

2024, 5'9, SG, Sierra Canyon HS, Izela Arenas - Izela is a scrappy guard much like her father (Gilbert Arenas), she is quick, she is crafty and she is an athlete. She has a good handle and can score the ball in all types of ways, she is the sole true point guard on the team, she does what her coach tells her to do. She is a defender as well, she will lock you up and make you frustrated on the offensive side of the floor.

2026, 6'4, C, Sierra Canyon HS, [player_tooltip player_id='574411' first='Emilia' last='Krstevski'] - Sizable center in the game with some good skill set in the paint and also knows how to use her size in the paint in the low post and can seal and finish as well. She is an excellent shot blocker and moves her feet and is able to get up and down the floor very well. She is agile for her size and will only get better as she continues to play the game.

2024, 6'1, PF, Sierra Canyon HS, [player_tooltip player_id='209986' first='Mackenly' last='Randolph'] - MacKenly is also a very gifted player on the floor, she is the daughter of NBA great Zack Randolph, you wold guess she plays just like her father, well she does. She is skilled on the perimeter with the ball, she is skilled in the paint to score from the low post and she can shoot the midrange and three pointer. She is also a gifted shot blocker, using her size to chase girls down and block shots off the glass.

2023, 6'2, CG, Sierra Canyon HS, [player_tooltip player_id='54106' first='Judea' last='Watkins'] - JuJu is the special one of the group, she is skilled at all three levels on the court and she really knows how to put on a show with her gifted skills on the court. She is the TRUTH, I have watched alot of girls games and this kid is FOR REAL, not just pouring it on, but her game show it for herself. She can put a 25+ game together in any game, because her talent is there and you cannot keep her from scoring even if you tried.

2023, 6'2, C, Sierra Canyon HS, [player_tooltip player_id='563630' first='Crystal' last='Wang'] - Nice size center for her team, she is agile, can handle the ball and score at will, she has soft hands and can score in the paint or from the midrange. She is equally tough on the defensive side of the floor and has to guard some of the toughest players on the other team. Developing center for her group, she will continue to get better each and every game.

2024, 6'1, PF, Etiwanda HS, Mykelle Richards - Mykelle is a good size forward with a tall and linky body type, she is athletic, she is agile on the floor and is quick and strong on the defensive end of the floor. She can also rebound in the paint, she showed us toughness and determination to be a fierce rebounder taking rebounds from opponents. She is also very agile running the floor for easy layups in transition.

2025, 5'5, PG, Etiwanda HS, [player_tooltip player_id='393740' first='Aliyahna' last='Morris'] - Aliyahna is a big surprise to me, she is a fierce point guard or should I say Point God. She can run the team, she can score from all levels, showing us her sweet floater in the paint a few times. She showed mental toughness and a sense of urgency to lead this team and put them on her back. She hit a half-court shot to go into the 4th quarter, but she is not finished yet and she is determined not to lose the game.

2024, 6'1, SF, Etiwanda HS, [player_tooltip player_id='104797' first='Kennedy' last='Smith'] - Kennedy is the veteran of this group and has proven herself to be the player she knows she is, she is developing her game into a wing player, cause most of her career she has been a post player. She is focusing on shooting the midrange and three pointer to expand her game and give her that edge when she gets to the next level to be able to play on the wing. If she is able to master this in this short time, she will be a monster to guard on that level. She is very mentally tough and can put the team on her back as well.

2023, 5'9, CG, Etiwanda HS, [player_tooltip player_id='104202' first='Majesty' last='Cade'] - Majesty is that guard who can help you on offense with the long three pointer or get to the rim and finish thru contact. She knocked down 50% of her three pointers today, which is very consistent for a shooter on the perimeter. She was hurt earlier in the 3rd quarter, but she is a warrior and fought back to get on the floor to help her team. This girl has heart and the coaches trust her to perform like she should.

2023, 6'1, SF, Etiwanda HS, [player_tooltip player_id='160304' first='Sa'lah' last='Hemingway'] - Sa'Lah has always been a tough player in my opinion, saw her play the first time when she was a freshman, she dominated that game I saw her in, but she has settled into her role here at Etiwanda. She can score from two levels, being the midrange and in the paint with authority. She is headed to play D1 ball and she has earned her stripes on the battlefield of basketball. She is a fierce rebounder and defender on the floor, she is tough as nails.
