One coaching staff has already offered Jackson off her performance in Phoenix. With Michigan State officially joining the race to sign the Michigan native who now plays prep ball in Oklahoma. With the way she was scoring the rock against MoKan, it’s easy to see why. Jackson is a powerful driver, who routinely made tough And 1 finishes look easy. Add in three point shooting and she’s not only one of the complete scorers in Oklahoma, she’s one of the top scorers in the regions. Buckets are always needed and Jackson is a pure bucket getter with an outstanding bag of moves.

Knew when Jackson moved into Oklahoma that she would be among the state’s top prospects. And she has backed that up with big time scoring numbers for Grind Prep. Including 41 points in a win in Grind Session play in Atlanta last month. She’s a walking bucket, because she can get hers at all levels. Physical and skilled off the bounce to attack the rim, or stop and pop in the midrange. She’s often power based with her ability to muscle the way to the rim, while also having a deceptive burst to help on drives. Add in three point shooting and she’s the complete package as a scorer.

One of Oklahoma’s newest stars, Jackson was on a scoring tear last week in Florida. Scoring 26 points and 27 points in two contests against top tier national competition. Before that trip, the Pride of the East Side was the first in person viewing by the PGH Oklahoma team. She backed up the highlight reel expectations of her as a skilled and strong scorer. Compliments her handles with physical strength and good short area explosiveness for tough finishes and even helping out on the offensive glass. Complete scorer, with a tough mindset.

Newcomer to Oklahoma via Grind Prep in OKC. Put up very impressive scoring numbers in Michigan, and now forms a dynamic 1-2 punch with fellow 2027 Minor. Over the past month the duo has anchored their prep school to wins over regional JuCo squads, Just this week, she’s picked up offers from Wichita State and Jacksonville State. Jackson is a sharpshooter from three and the mid-range. While also being strong and skilled off the bounce, as she displays great balance on drives. Big time addition to Oklahoma’s junior class as a pure bucket getter.

Jayla was outstanding for Country Day all season, helping the team to a 16-5 record with statement victories against Grass Lake, Dexter, Clarkston, St. Mary’s Prep, Stoney Creek, and West Bloomfield. Jayla averaged 18 points, four rebounds, three steals, and 2.5 assists per game. She scored over 20 points in nine games with a career-best 10 steals against Trenton. Jayla scored 29 points with nine steals versus Stoney Creek and dropped 22 points with seven steals and five assists against a great Grass Lake team.

Whoever has the assignment of guarding this young lady needs to stick to her like glue, particularly from behind the arch!  She can shoot the 3 very well!  And you certainly cannot foul her either- because those are automatic buckets too! 

Jayla, a First Team All Showcase selection at The PGH Michigan Expo, showcased her dominance as a guard throughout the event. She thrives in pushing the pace, using her great body control to finish around the rim and displaying a smooth pull-up jumper. Jayla also made multiple three-pointers, including a deep shot that stood out. I’m expecting her to have a dominating junior season at Detroit Country Day this winter.

Jayla stood out for Team 7 at The Expo and was one of my top choices as a top performer. She is an athletic and agile guard who excels at pushing the pace, constantly looking to create opportunities in transition and delivering precise passes to her teammates. Her body control around the rim allows her to finish with finesse, even in traffic. She also showcased a smooth pull-up jumper, adding another dimension to her offensive game. On the day, she made multiple three-pointers, including an impressive deep shot that highlighted her range and confidence.

Jayla is a strong and athletic guard who shifts into another gear to impact games on both ends of the court. Her toughness driving to the basket, applying pressure defensively, and pull-up jumpers will be exciting to see on the court at The Expo on Saturday. Jayla has earned multiple D1 offers and will have an opportunity to put those qualities on display for the college coaches.

People have started to underestimate the talent that Jackson carries. That’s good though, because she’ll use it. Jackson is slippery with quick feet and handles. This is a great offer from an instate mid major.
