Katie Leonard has been showing off her range for years, and she is poised to do that at the next level with her commitment to Cornell. Her confidence in her shot doesn’t waver, but she knows she can attack the basket easily rolling the ball off her fingertips to score if a defender happens to get close enough to try to contest her shot. She’s a big contributor on defense knowing how to slide in front of her opponents blocking their path and shot.

Katie Leonard is a lethal shooter from around the arc as she moves well finding the openings and making sure she is tracking the ball to get the right pass. Speaking of the perimeter, she guards it well knowing when to jump in front of passing lanes or pick the pocket of her opponents. Back to the offensive side, she scores three the old fashioned way keeping her focus on scoring the bucket and not letting contact get in her way.

knew how to go to work at the top of the key. She drove to the basket well being able to get by hands in her way on the way to the rim. She is a knockdown shooter, too, being able to make her shot from deep throughout the game. She had a nice crossover step back move that she used to create some space for her shot.

Leonard plays hard on both ends. She defends with urgency, she rebounds with effort, and she is a capable scorer. She is an unselfish player who passes ahead and always looks to make the right decision for her team. Leonard is a skilled player who can score from any spot on the court.

Katherine Leonard is a talented guard who can score from all three levels. She attacks with the dribble in transition, she can score in the paint, and she has a nice outside jump shot with deep three-point range. Leonard is also an aggressive rebounder who goes after the basketball when a shot goes up. She is an exceptional rebounder from the guard position for the NC Attack .

As the 2nd leading scorer for the Seaforth Lady Hawks last season, Katherine did a very solid job averaging over 10 ppg. She greatly improved on her freshman campaign that saw her help lead her team to the 2A State Championship Game in Chapel Hill in 2023. Katherine, who also doubles as a star on the soccer field, is very unique in that she can play a number of positions on the court. She can run PG duties, play off off the ball at the 2 or she can play on the wing. She has developed into a very good rebounder and can be seen rebounding the ball then taking it the length of the floor in transition. Just a very smart overall player who is sure to be even more productive next season.

Katherine Leonard was showing off her range shooting the ball hitting four from deep in the game making some crucial ones in the second half to put the game away. She knew how to get to the openings to put up her shot. She was a nuisance on defense getting her hands in the way of her opponents.
