Sophie Trimble Sophie Trimble 5'10" | SF Menomonee Falls | 2025 State WI
Very few kids have the combination of strength and athleticism Trimble does, and she used her physical tools to dominate around the basket. It felt like every 50/50 ball was hers, and the part that made her stand out was her ability to grab a defensive rebound and push the ball up the floor. She’s strong enough to defend and rebound against taller posts and fast enough to beat defenders down the floor. Trimble was the most impressive kid at the 16u level this weekend.
Georgia Acompanado Georgia Acompanado 5'8" | PG Pius XI | 2025 State WI
The Pius XI guard helps unlock a lot on both ends of the floor. Acompanado is one of the more athletic guards in Wisconsin and one of the best rebounding guards in the state. That combination of skills for a 5-7 guard makes her value immeasurable, and when she gets going, she’s a joy to watch. She can finish through contact fire cross-court passes off her drives to the basket for open 3-pointers, and she stays in front defensively. Everything about her game is trending upward.
Kaitlyn Sedillo Kaitlyn Sedillo 5'7" | PG Plainfield North | 2025 State IL
What Sedillo is as a player is something that every team would like to have. She’s consistent, reliable, positive, and constantly making good decisions with the ball. Sedillo does everything purposefully, and the more Sedillo has the ball in her hands, the better the results. She has all the intangibles that make a good lead guard and has the skill to boot. The sophomore is mentally strong, makes shots from all over the floor, passes well, and maneuvers through pressure. She’s a joy to watch whenever I see her play.
This weekend was the first time I saw Ally Poegel Ally Poegel 5'9" | SG Genoa-Kingston | 2025 State IL play, and I loved watching her in competitive games. Poegel and M14, as a program, have their way of playing and never vary from that style. Due to that, they never seem to feel pressure late in close games. The ball found Poegel on multiple occasions late in a game on Saturday, and she seemed to come through every time. Poegel’s mental fortitude and ability to make plays in crunch time were excellent.
