Michigan’s Main Event will take place at Chelsea High School, Saline High School, Saline Middle School and Belleville High School. This tournament will feature some of the best teams and players in the state. Let’s look at a few players to watch!
Jabczenski has earned some eyes on her game this spring. She’s shot the ball from 3 point range extremely well and has become a bona fide deep ball threat. Jabczenski has played well on the defensive end showing a really good eye for the ball and a quick jump on it. She’s a solid rebounder that plays bigger than her height.
Palmer is an elite athlete and basketball player in the state. She recently committed to the University of Loyola Chicago. She’s a bouncy forward that always makes plays near and around the rim. Whether it’s an athletic finish or going up high over her opponents for a rebound, Palmer always seems to find a way to make a play.

Yea, Bottum deserves a ranking, and a pretty high one at that. That will be fixed. She’s been a head turner and an impact player even when playing up. Bottum hasn’t just rebounded the ball this spring, she’s attacked the glass. Very intelligently, she has done her work establishing position before the ball hits the rim. Bottum has also been a high level rim protector.
Place sort of had a coming out party in the state playoffs. People, including myself, got a really good look at just how talented she is and how much upside she has. Place came up huge in the playoffs when her team needed her, showing she could score big baskets in huge moments. She’s definitely a player to keep an eye on with with the MI Mystics 2025 S40 Finest.
Averi Peot
Averi Peot
Peot should probably be considered underrated at this point. She was a 2nd Team OK Solver All-Conference player and it’s easy to see why. Peot is a very strong small forward that can use leg strength to push through her opponents on a straight line drive to the rim. She has the look of a player that could have a breakout spring and/or summer.
