#21 up from #28 Kinsey was last seen by my colleague @PlayerRIMedies during the 3SSB Live event back in May, see evaluation here, and after catching her at the TABC Showcase a few weeks ago, her ability to take over games from either end had me smiling. Her “stop and pop” jumper, as well as her “catch and shoot” have both taken off

Kinsey is an impressive defender. Her alert help-side defense consistently forces turnovers that turn into instant offense. With explosive quickness, she attacks the basket before defenders can react. Without the the ball in transition, she moves to the corners to spot up for threes with t urgency. After a missed shot, she immediately reposts, creating a reliable target and keeping pressure on the defense.

Kinsey is one of those players I lost track of so I was overly excited to reconnect with her at the Next Up Individual Showcase put on by Destined For Greatness in Waco see evaluation here I hadn’t seen her in over two years yet her strength immediately stood out as she scored however she wanted around the rim and showed the mid to long-range. I was also excited seeing her handle the ball after rebounding and show her court vision in transition plus she defended both in and outside the paint

Kinsey can create problems for defenders in multiple ways because she can use her size and strength to overpower guards off the dribble to score yet I was equally impressed with her “hands and footwork” under the basket to score. Her mid to long-range jumper, especially the “catch and shoot” from deep was nice but she has good body control, plays on the ball defense, and her timing to block shots was a plus

Kinsey is a crafty guard that has the ability to set the tone for her team. She has a beautiful hesitation move that she uses to shake defenders off to get to the basket. When opponents begin to play off of her to limit her drive to the basket, she is able to pull and connect on the long three.
