Here are some of the players that stood out in a different way, please note that I'm a REAL EVALUATOR and know where the bar has been set so the things I see, especially from younger players, might be little things that turn out to be big but I'll have even more standouts coming on here, on my website, maybe even my blog, so stay tuned

Hannah Sim (Eye Can)

Sim is heady and did a good job of seeing the floor and making the right decisions on her passes yet her poise under pressure, which always grabs my attention from younger players, also stood out. She not only rebounded but handled the ball in the open court while being defended. To top that off, she did what I love to see and that's playing the passing lane

Cosette Belk (Eye Can)

Belk was another player that did a good job playing the passing lane and her doing other things instinctively, like recognizing when to switch as well as understanding how to trap, falls into what I said in the opening paragraph, "little things that turn out to be big". She also did a good job creating her shot and attacking the basket off the dribble, as well as playing good defense

Robin Reed (Lady Stackz)

Reed, probably not her last name, was one of many talented guards with plenty of upside on her team, which included [player_tooltip player_id='1231312' first='Ariane' last='Petty'], who is only in the 3rd grade. Robin's "on the ball" defense was among the best that was played on Sunday, all divisions included. Why, well another thing she did was "run down players" the length of the court, I love things you can't teach yet when also scored off the dribble, after contact, and even showed she could drop the jumper, pull-up included a 3

Skylar Fields (Lady Stackz)

Fields has that "Fields of Dreams" future because she's an athletic guard that understands how to use her athleticism on both ends of the court and add her to the list of players that played the passing lane well. She also did a good job defending her man, she already understands how to create her shot, and even showed the "stop and pop" in transition but her midrange pull-up has the potential to create a lot of problems because she elevates over the defender. Her first step was nice, and so was her body control on her finishes

Alyya Moore (1 Nation)

Moore kept showing me MORE but watching "Moore diving on the FLOOR" is what initially grabbed my attention. Her being savvy and understanding of how to set the defender up using a deceptive first step enabled her to get to the basket numerous times but her finishing after contact JUST DID IT for me. She also showed the pull-up jumper and knocked it down with a hand in her face yet her court vision was equally impressive. Her defense was solid and she too played the passing lane

Aubrie Dupree (1 Nation)

Dupree falls into that #sizedontmatter category because "she can play" and watching her bring IT on both ends was refreshing because, like me and Bonecrusher, she's "Never Scared". She played solid baseline-to-baseline defense, picked some pockets, handled the ball in the open court, and saw the floor but she also set the defender to attack the basket and finished strongly after contact. Her understanding how to "play within herself" speaks volumes about her upside
