She was probably the best athlete on the Roots team. She gets to the basket well with speed as a downhill player. A good defensive player capable of getting lots of steals with her anticipation and quickness. Tough player who can play multiple positions and contributes in all phases of the game. She has improved her jumper and added range since I saw her last summer. She is a high-ceiling player with the athleticism-skills.

The tall Olympia guard had a solid game in a tough loss to Puyallup. She plays aggressively all over the court and really did a nice job getting penetration and getting to the rim. She was active defensively, popping up quick to meet ballhandlers on the perimeter or coming from behind to double. She got numerous tips and strips, was quick to loose balls, and showed good speed to run down plays. Schaff also hit a couple of 3s and shows a really promising skillset for a young Olympia team that has a lot to look forward to.

Schaff is already starting at Olympia and has a pretty well-rounded game to build off of. She’s active on the offensive end, showing good movement off the ball, crashing the boards, and making some nice drives in from the perimeter. She’s pretty fast too and can make plays in transition, shows some natural ability to make plays downhill, and has a shot to build on from 3-point. All in all, with her length and the skill set she currently has, she has a lot of potential to be an impact player going forward.
