Over the years Gabi has shown real growth not just in her skillset, but in her ability to adapt to different roles. Whether it was going from a spot up shooter to more of a ball handler, she’s proven she can handle it. Heading into AAU, coaches will be reminded how dynamic she is as a guard and how she can score it at all three levels, from the arc to the paint. The playmaking IQ is there too, and with the talent around her, we should see even more of that.

The best is yet to come for Gaby, and that is saying a lot because she’s put her name on the map this past year and summer. She’s been in a shooter’s role for most of her high school career, as well as AAU, but going into this upcoming year, I believe Domercant will show she can be a complementary piece or a primary piece that can bring impact to a program at the next level. She has the skillset to do it, and she is only continuing to get better.

Whitney Young lost a huge piece of their offense, but Gaby is one of the forsure players that can fill that void. Even though she gets labeled as a sniper, this season might allow her to show more of her passive side and her ability to be a high tier combo guard. Defensively, she’s not an easy match-up for any guard, and she can hold her own at that end as well.

Gaby has shown major improvement in her overall game these past couple of years. What has impressed me the most has been her ability to adjust her game and stay impactful as her role for the team increased. Shes shown that she can shine in multiple roles- 3&D and being the second option. College coaches love seeing players who can adjust quickly and efficiently. High potential.

Whitney Young has a tremendous young core, and at the center of that is Gaby. A lights-out shooter, who spent her first year as a spacer and now has taken on more responsibilities—and has shown up. Domercant has all the skills to be one of the top players in this state regardless of class. Strong ball handler, extreme confidence, and a poised attitude that can fit in many systems.

Domercant has seen a couple more D1 offers roll through in the past couple of months, which should give more clarity on how valuable she will be to Whitney Young this year. She’s crafty, confident, and has the ability to play multiple roles. Last year, she was the spot-up shooter for the Dolphins, and this year she could see herself as a primary focal point for the team.

Domercant’s ability to read the court is definitely one of her standout strengths. She has excellent court vision and is a great facilitator. She can shoot well from everywhere on the court. We have only see the beginning from her.

Domercant’s ability to play the spot up shooter role this past high school season was on full display. She showed glimpses of efficiency and aggression. Over the past couple of months in the AAU season, she’s also showed how effective she can be with the ball in her hand. Crafty, decisive and risky. With an offer from Loyola under her belt, I’m confident enough to say she’ll be adding on more offers as the summer ends.

Domercant has been deemed WY knockdown shooter. However there are flashes of how high her potential can be. Outside of being a sharpshooter, Gabi shows the ability to be a high impact playmaker for her teammates as well as for herself. She’s had a couple breakout games where she has been the focal point and has succeeded.
