Scholarship offers have been going out and players have taking the opportunity to go on unofficial and official visits. Some of Florida’s top players have recently narrowed things down. Here are four of Florida’s top prospects that have recently announced choices for top schools.
Manuella Fernandes (Central Pointe Academy) 6’3 Forward – Class of 2025
Fernandes had a huge summer on the travel circuit and her recruitment blew up with a number of schools from all over the country extending offers. She is a major presence in the paint and shot blocking and rebounding machine. College coaches loved her energy, passion, and activity level that she played consistently with every possession.

Lester has been busy after announcing her transfer to Montverde Academy and recently narrowed her list of schools down to 7. Lester is a high-flying act that is a big-time scorer and an elite athlete that has continued to catch the eyes of college coaches all across the country. She has taken the time to get on campus of several of her top schools and now has just over 2 months to make her final decision.

Tabitha Betson Tabitha Betson 6'2" | CG DME Academy | 2024 State FL ( DME Academy) 6’2 Forward – Class of 2024
Betson was extremely dominant all throughout the 2022-23 high school season for DME Academy and then followed that up with a number of great individual performances this spring / summer. Attracting a number of scholarship offers from top schools all across the country, Betson recently narrowed her list down to 12. Betson, originally from Australia, plays hard and aggressive and extremely effective in the paint. She plays with a passion and tenacity that is desired by college coaches from coast to coast.
