Team preview – 3A GSHL – Evergreen (Van)

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's about time to start rolling out some team previews. I'm starting in Southwest WA with the team who did something they hadn't done since 1980 last season. Here's a look at last season's record and the top returning players. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Evergreen - 15-7 (7-1) 1st in 3A GSHL</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Coming off the first league championship in 43 years, Evergreen has the pieces to be one of the favorites again in 2024. Led by 1st team all league selections [player_tooltip player_id='594879' first='Adrian' last='Wright'] (2025) and and [player_tooltip player_id='586247' first='Kimora' last='Ross'] (2026). They also return Aiyanah Sefrenio-Byrd (2025), giving them their top three players back for at least the next two years. The 1st teamer is a tough guard who makes things happen with her ability to create and score from anywhere on the floor. The mid-range game is on point and she has a sweet looking jumper from three. She is a high energy player who plays with some fire and it starts with the defense. She is active and athletic which leads to lots of steals with her anticipation and quickness. She is another tough player who fits in with Wright and Ross in what will likely be a team that pressures the ball and gets up and down the floor next season. She is a guard who can contribute in lots of aspects of the game, filling the stat sheet.
