PGH KY Top 250 Expo: Team 5

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The PGH Kentucky Top 250 Expo brought a lot of talented players to Louisville on Saturday. I really enjoyed watching the players that I don't typically get to see throughout the season, as well as seeing improvements from the players that I do get to watch a lot. I got to watch the first three games on court 2 before finishing out the day on court 1. Unfortunately, I only got to watch majority of the teams play one time, but I'm glad I at least got to get a glimpse of everyone that was in attendance. Throughout the day, I took down notes on what I was seeing from each player at the event. Below you will see the notes I got from team 5 at the Top 250 Expo. It's definitely worth noting that the only time I got to watch team 5 play was in the very last game of the day and I didn't get down as many notes as I would've liked to, but I know some of the other PGH staff saw this team play multiple times throughout the day.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Taylor Bauer (#237)</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Attacked gaps well and kept her head up well. Consistently came to the ball to help out her teammates. Facilitated the offense well. Made some good drives to the hoop and showed she can knock down outside shots as well.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='470574' first='Brooke' last='Campbell'] (#239)</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Knocked down outside shots. Saw the floor and where she could create for her teammates. Even when passes didn't make it, she had the right idea. Handled the ball well also. Really just keeps making obvious improvements to her game every time I get to watch her play.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='502123' first='Hannah' last='Yates'] (#289)</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Good passes down the floor in transition. Kept head up and was strong with the ball. Good outside shooter, but can clearly score in a variety of ways. Poised to have a big HS season at Webster County.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Elizabeth Marriott (#300)</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Played very hard and stayed with plays. Good finishes with her left hand. Ran the floor even when everyone was gassed in the last game. Lefty. Knocked down 15-footers well.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='502107' first='Ashton' last='Harris'] (#307)</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Great strong drives to the rim but also stepped out and knocked down some triples. Isn't afraid of contact. Set strong screens. Excellent cuts to get open. Grabbed a ton of rebounds. Impacts the game in big ways and is very capable of scoring in high volume.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='688047' first='Morgan' last='Howell'] (#312)</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Good length. Great defense and rim protector. Had some nice blocks. Did a really good job grabbing rebounds off the rim. Nice touch and ability to elevate over defenders to knock down shots. Held off defense when posting.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Brooklyn Cornett (#313)</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Versatile player overall. Has good length. Can knock down shots or finish in the paint. Handles the ball well. Wouldn't be surprised to see her name in every statistical category at the end of each game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
