I was impressed with how Dalia Durant came out firing on Saturday morning during the skill and shooting portions of the event. She was one of the most consistent in the gym, no matter what activity we were doing and she didn’t get lost when the coaching staff was going into great detail about different drills or situations. Durant is an individual that can be moved around a little on the court and she will still yield positive results. She has a square shot form, as the ball is always in the same place before she lets it go and she found a lot of success in that shot this weekend. Coming off of a solid AAU campaign and Durant will look to make some waves for her last year of high school ball these next few months. A goal that is certainly manageable.

is the type of player that is going to listen to her coaches on the floor and she isn’t going to hurt you too much on either side of the ball while doing so. Durant is a 5’9 Combo Guard, that tends to produce off of the ball at a steady rate. She has demonstrated a fundamental shot form when letting it go from deep and she doesn’t seem to force any action when she does end up receiving the basketball on rotation. Defensively, she is someone that can pick up in the full court or half court and make it a nightmare for her opponent to bring up the ball. All in all, Durant brings a lot of positives to the game. She is someone that seems dedicated enough to take it places one day, she just needs to be herself and the rest of success will follow.

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, Dalia Durant has a flame thrower on her from deep when she is shooting the basketball and that was on full display the last couple of days at this event for her Omaha Supreme 2025 team. Durant understands that her best ability is shooting the basketball. She brings solid athleticism, a smart head on her shoulders, and a positive style of gameplay to the floor but her best ability by far is shooting the rock. This weekend she was doing more of that and letting her abilities shine through. She was setting up from all three levels for some great catch-and-shooting action, she was hustling back on the defensive end and staying in front of her opponent in the open court, and she was making the simple play a majority of the time. If Durant were to play in a system in the future where she would be primarily letting the ball go from deep off of screens, she would thrive. There is simply no other way to put it. She needs to be set in an offense where she is getting the Kyle Korver treatment. Whenever she set’s a screen, she receives five in that same possession. If she does that, stays confident in her ability, and doesn’t force any action, she would thrive and that’s something we saw this weekend in Kansas City first-hand.
