About Gwen

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Aggressive driver that can stretch the floor with midrange and three. Also excellent passer who can run the floor with ease and speed.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I love to win and compete. I take pride in my mental toughness.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I was nominated and selected to be in a Athletic leadership club at my school, I am in French National Honors Society, I have received the big L award (straight A’s for 4 semesters), and I am on honor roll

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have learned how to become a better leader not only by leading by example but bringing people together to achieve a common goal. I also have developed the skills needed to encourage people and build trust with my teammates.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

During my sophomore basketball season I was on varsity and played sparingly at the beginning of the season with a few seniors ahead of me. Despite not getting the minutes I wanted I continued to practice and work outside of varsity practices. By the end of the season during state playoffs I was first off the bench and hit a big shot in the sectional semifinals. This year I am a starter.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college with high academics and lively student life.

Defensively, she can stay in front of her matchup, and has shown she can protect the paint as a guard as well.
