We continue our high school girls basketball previews as we continue our best shooters series in South Jersey. There's just a crazy amount of talent in the region and plenty of players who can knock down three-pointers at a high clip. It's been really enjoyable for us to see the sheer amount of success possessed by the girls here, and this is now the third part what intends to be an ongoing article series leading up to the start of the 2023-24 season.

[player_tooltip player_id='325191' first='Angelina' last='Zagone'] - Gateway (2024)

It's hard to become dominant, and more importantly, it's hard to stay dominant, but it seems that Zagone hasn't had an issue doing either, coming off one of the best seasons by any South Jersey player last season. Zagone averaged 21.4 points a game, knocking down 46 three-pointers in 27 games. Just an impressive season overall, she is now up to 81 made threes in her career.

[player_tooltip player_id='600906' first='Kiersten' last='Callahan'] - Haddon Township (2026)

It did not take long at all for Callahan to get comfortable with the high school game at Haddon Township as her freshman season was one to behold. The now sophomore sunk 45 threes in 27 games, just under 1.7 threes a game, and she did what she could to find space and turn her openings into prime shot attempts. Callahan has a bright future ahead of her with the Hawks, no doubt.

Gabby DiOrio - Haddon Heights (2024)

DiOrio is a recent addition to this list after an impressive junior year that saw her hit 39 threes in 27 games played. Previous to this season, the senior was very much a bench piece for the Garnets, but that all turned around in her junior year, averaging roughly eight points a game offensively. That considerable jump means that she's destined to reach even bigger heights as a senior.

[player_tooltip player_id='583452' first='Sami' last='Szabo'] - Haddon Heights (2025)

Szabo fits into the same vibes as DiOrio, with the transition happening between her freshman and sophomore years compared to sophomore and junior year. That sophomore year was quite the performance overall, turning into one of the best players for HHHS, hitting 47 threes in 27 games, nearly two a game. The junior has her sights set on that, and then some this season.

Janie Cross - West Deptford (2024)

Cross followed up a solid sophomore season with an all-conference performance as a junior, hitting 54 threes while averaging a career-high 13.6 points a game for the Eagles. Cross was a few three-pointers short of averaging two made threes a game, but her rapid rise in production has us hopeful for her senior season performance for West Deptford.

Brookelyn Graham - Paulsboro (2024)

Our last player in this article is a Paulsboro senior that has improved tremendously year after year, and had a fantastic junior season rivaled by few. In 17 games played, she averaged just under 2.3 three-pointers a game and scored 18.5 points a game. There was no answer for guarding her on the floor, and she made exactly the statement from deep that we've been looking for her to do.

We continue our high school girls basketball previews as we continue our best shooters series in South Jersey. There's just a crazy amount of talent in the region and plenty of players who can knock down three-pointers at a high clip.
