2024, 5’10, SF, Leuzinger HS, Madison Watts Madison Watts 5'10" | SF Leuzinger | 2024 State CA
Watts is pretty much an all-around scorer but she does have a consistent outside shot. During the first half of the game I saw, she looked better when operating off the catch whether it was at the three-point line or in the midrange. As the game went on, she got a little more comfortable creating her own shot and shooting off the dribble. She also showed the ability to knock down face up three-point shots. She runs the floor well too and can get to the basket attacking defenders.
2024, 6’0, PF/C, Lynwood HS, Kimiko Kennedy Kimiko Kennedy 5'9" | SF Lawndale HS | 2024 State CA
Kimiko is a gifted scorer for her team, she knows how to play and we have seen her a few times, but really never gave her the evaluation that is needed for her game. She can score in a variety of ways, she can shoot it from the midrange, she can put in on the floor and get to the rim. She is able to absorb contact and finish layups at the rim for easy hoops and harm. She runs the floor well and has nice hands that can allow her to catch and finish in transition. She is also a willing shot blocker that can chase you down and get it off the boards.
2027, 5’11, SF, San Joaquin Memorial HS, Gia Souza Gia Souza 5'10" | SF San Joaquin Memorial | 2027 State CA
Gia is a long and lengthy forward with a lot of potential to expand her game and her skill set, she is active on the floor and naturally aggressive on the offensive and defensive ends of the floor. She makes good decisions with the ball and is a leader on the floor when in her mode. She has improved as a scorer and is one of the athletic ones that her coach has on the floor. This kid will be special by the time she is a senior.
2025, 5’11, PF, Valencia HS, Alyssa Dawson
Alyssa is a developing young wing player with a lot of potential, she has good size for a wing and is an active player on the floor. She is a decent rebounder in the paint, she is skilled at catching the ball and scoring in the paint or with a short jumper in the short corner. She can run the floor and can catch and finish the layup in transition. She has soft hands for catches and we even saw some ball handling skills for her position.
