The beginning of the high school season is fast approaching. As we get ready for another year, Prep Girls Hoops Missouri is taking a look at some small school standouts from around the state to keep an eye out on. Most of these players are in the "New Name" category, but they are talented players who make a big impact for their respective schools.

[player_tooltip player_id='745522' first='Karli' last='Smith'] (Northwest Hughesville): A 6'0" 2024 forward who plays a very strong game in the low post. She has good mobility inside and a nice shooting touch with either hand around the basket. She can also handle the ball and play the top of the full court press on defense. She was a Class 1 All-District selection last season.

Brecklen Morrison (Hume): A 5'9" 2024 guard who led Hume to a district championship last season. She is a versatile offensive threat who has scored more than 1,000 points in her career. She handles the ball well and she can create her own shot off the dribble. She also works well off screens and cuts to the open spots on the floor.

Maddi Fisher (Mercer): A 5'10" 2024 forward who was an All-State selection last season after leading Mercer to a 25-4 record. She is a strong inside player who can score in the paint with a variety of moves. She also rebounds in traffic very well. She can also handle the ball and step out and knock down 3-pointers off the catch.

[player_tooltip player_id='636253' first='Allie' last='Patrick'] (St. Vincent): A 5'9" 2025 guard who returns after leading St. Vincent to a 24-4 record last season. The young lefty is a prime-time shooter who made 71 3-pointers as a sophomore. She can also attack well off the dribble to get into the lane. She also has good length and moves well without the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='865994' first='Crystal' last='Smith'] (Jasper): A 5'10" 2025 forward who is an outstanding three-sport standout. She is an All-State volleyball player and a state-champion hurdler in track and field. On the basketball court, she is a tremendous athlete who can score at all three levels. She is smooth on the drive and she can get a bucket at the rim or on the pull up jumper in the lane. She can also hit the open 3-pointer.

Molly Malter (Santa Fe): A 5'7" 2024 point guard who returns as the floor leader for a strong team that finished with a 25-3 record last season. She plays with excellent pace and her court vision is very good as she delivers pinpoint passes from all kinds of different angles. She will also make the open 3-point shot. She was an All-District player as a junior.

Chloe Burnham (St. Joseph Christian): A 5'8" 2024 guard who returns as one of the top players in the NWMO area. She is also an unselfish player who can also deliver a nice pass to an open teammate.

Chloe Pearson (Wheatland): A 5'6" 2026 point guard who was an All Polk County Conference and All-District selection last season. She has very good court vision and excellent fundamentals. Even from the guard position, she sets screens and boxes out for rebounding position. She has good speed in the open court and good instincts on the defensive end.

[player_tooltip player_id='857354' first='Marian' last='Dabney'] (Milan): A 6'0" 2026 forward who is following in the footsteps of her very talented older brothers, who led Milan's boys to the Final Four a few years back. She is a skilled young player with good mobility and length. She handles the ball well and can hit the 3-pointer.
