Willow Gideon Willow Gideon 5'10" | SG Rolla | 2024 State MO (Rolla): The 5’10” shooting guard scored 19 points in the Bulldogs victory over Macks Creek. She is known for her perimeter shooting as she is one of best in the state, but I was impressed with her ball handling and off the ball movement in this game. She read defenses well and scored on some nice off-ball cutting. She also got rebounds and went coast to coast to score a layup.
Allyssa Joyner (West Plains): The 6’2′ forward drew a crowd in the Lady Zizzers’ game against Union as she saw plenty of double and triple teams in the low post. She has a nice touch around the basket when she got her opportunities in the paint. She was also stepping out and hitting 3-pointers. She can really stretch the defense.
Kendall Kostoplos (St. James): A 5’10” forward who has very sound fundamentals around the basket, which make her very effective. She keeps the ball high off the catch to score inside. She can also drive the ball well in either directions as she uses good shot fakes to set up her drives. She is also a good passer from the out post or down low out of the double team to an open shooter.
Mya Minor (Union): A 5’5″ guard who is the consummate team player who does anything for the unit to succeed. The prime example is on defense when she plays in the middle of the Wildcats’ zone defense. She battles taller players with her great motor and hustle and holds her own. On offense, she used her quickness to get into the lane and she has a nice float game.
Holly Woods Holly Woods 5'4" | PG Pembroke Hill | 2024 State MO (Pembroke Hill): The 5’4″ point guard displayed her impressive playmaking and scoring ability in the Raiders’ two games in Rolla. She is quick, very poised and very crafty with the ball, which keeps defenders off balance. She has a knack for getting into the lane and scoring amongst the taller players and she can also shake a defender to make a step-back 3-pointer.
Jada Anderson Jada Anderson 5'10" | PF Capital City | 2024 State MO (Capital City): A 6’0 2024 forward who has good athleticism and some solid moves in the post. I always enjoy watching her rebound out of her area. She is very active. She is always a threat for a double double when she steps on the floor.
Emily Recker Emily Recker 5'6" | CG St. James | 2024 State MO (St. James): A 5’7″ point guard who sees the court well and does a good job distributing the basket. She was very good at advancing the ball upcourt with the pass to make sure her team can get a quick scoring opportunity. She also knocks down the open 3-pointer. She also has quick hands on defense and she did a good job guarding the low post when she was caught in a switch against a taller player.
Emma Daniels Emma Daniels 5'7" | PG Owensville | 2024 State MO (Owensville): A 5’7″ Columbia College recruit who has good speed and utilizes a quick first step to beat defenders off the dribble. She was wheeling and dealing in the lane and doesn’t mind taking the ball against a taller player.
Olivia Lawson (West Plains): A 5’8″ point guard who plays the game in attack mode. She was constantly probing the defense for open driving lanes and was very effective off the bounce. She is a very resourceful offensive player in the paint and she also has 3-point shooting range as well.
Jordyn Thurman (Mexico): A 5’6″ point guard who did a nice job of taking charge of her team. She is a strong ball handler and playmaker who scored on some nice takes along the baseline. She also hit a couple of 3-pointers.
