Use Code: SMALL30 to get 30% Off the Yearly Price. Welcome to the First Edition of Rankings Sessions for the Year 2024, we will be updating like we always do about (4) times per year, so that we can make adjustments and not miss anyone worthy. We do not rank those that we have not seen, it is not credible to do so, but we have (3) scouts that write for us and we scour the State of California looking for those who should be included in the rankings. Here is what we had to say about the girls we added to the rankings, (3) scouts were involved in this rankings edition for PGHCalifornia. Thanks for the subscribe...

2024, 5'11, SF, Oak Park HS, [player_tooltip player_id='835328' first='Chloe' last='Adamo']

Chloe showed us she was an excellent rebounder, she could get up and down the floor and get defensive and offensive boards in the game. She ran the lanes and has soft hands to catch and finish at the rim, love the way she catches and finishes on the break. She is also a high IQ player, recognizing the double and gets the ball back out to wing and then repost. She boxed players out with ease, love her intensity in the paint.

2024, 5'7, CG, Sage Hill HS, [player_tooltip player_id='835332' first='Zoie' last='Lamkin']

Zoie does and good job going down hill with the ball and she is quite crafty with it and can get wherever she wants on the floor to cause harm to the opponent. She gets paint touches, she can get inside and kick out to shooters, but this kid is a tough and we love her intensity on the floor, very high IQ. She gets to the rim with ease and makes some good cuts to the rim and most times draws contact and gets the hoop and harm.

2024, 5'1, PG, Oak Park HS, [player_tooltip player_id='835337' first='Temilola' last='Wateron']

This young lady was impressive as well for her size, she has good footwork to match her good ball handling skills on the floor, she ran the team with precision and made her coach proud. She is quick and crafty with the ball, she is aggressive on the offensive and defensive side of the ball. She pushed the tempo on the break and got her team transition points and she was able to get paint touches and kick out to shooter on the wing, she did a good job of distributing.

2024, 5'2, PG, LACES HS, [player_tooltip player_id='835340' first='Katie' last='Chiba']

Chiba was one of the top point guards on the first day of the tournament. She was a pass-first player; always looking for her teammates and looking to make the right play/extra pass. Good/crafty ball-handler, keeps her head up and can dribble under defense pressure. Relocates after the initial pass. Consistently got to her spots on the court. Good shooter from three-point range.

2024, 6'1, PF, Louisville HS, [player_tooltip player_id='835344' first='Taylor' last='Westbrook']

Westbrook is a wing/forward who has some guard like skills/ability. Uses step-throughs consistently to finish in the lane. Quick, decisive moves with the ball in her hands. She catches the ball high and keeps it out of reach of the defense. Very good vision in the halfcourt; she plays in the high post and does very well finding cutters. Off ball she makes good cuts/dives to the basket.

2024, 5'8, SG, Mira Costa HS, JuJu O'Brien

O'Brien was able to play both guard positions, but is definitely a fluid scorer. She can attack the defense off the dribble and was able to get to the basket consistently. Able to knock down the pull-up jumper in the midrange. Good ball handler who dribbles under control and gets to her spots on the court. She's a strong guard. who uses her size to draw contact at the basket and get to the free-throw line.

2024, 5'6, CG, Louisville HS, [player_tooltip player_id='835348' first='Andrea' last='Hurtado']

Hurtado was one of the better point guards I saw. She reads the defense well and consistently made good passes through the teeth of the defense. She sees the halfcourt well; uses the lost art of the bounce pass to find open teammates. Good three-point shooter off the catch.

2024, 5'6, CG, Windward HS, [player_tooltip player_id='835351' first='Lexi' last='Shapiro']

Shapiro was scrappy defensively, using her hands on defense to disrupt passes and force turnovers. Solid on ball cutting off the dribble and forcing ball-handlers into difficult passes. Makes a lot of hustle players and does well moving off ball. Good shooter from three-point range off the catch. She spots up well, gets her feet set and has a good shooting release.

2024, 5'8, SG, Windward HS, [player_tooltip player_id='835357' first='Laurel' last='Hinds']

Hinds was the ultimate hustle player. Chasing down loose balls, diving on the floor, constantly in motion on the court. Active defender with quick hands and feet to frustrate ball-handlers. Good positioning on the glass fighting for rebounds. She was able to handle the ball in the halfcourt at times and did well navigating the defense and making the right passes.

2024, 6'0, PF, Leuzinger HS, [player_tooltip player_id='835363' first='Dresha' last='Moore']

Moore is more of a power forward and small ball center. She's mobile and quick and can be decisive attacking the defense. Does a good job establishing post position and can flash across the middle well. She catches the ball high. Patient around the basket and can finish strong. Good rebounder and good at drawing contact at the basket.

2024, 6'2, PF, Etiwanda HS, [player_tooltip player_id='835366' first='MyKelle' last='Richards']

Sizable forward with a nice lanky solid body, she can get up and down the floor and moves like a gazelle. She defends with intensity and can make a layup in transition. Able to chase down balls and block shots, rebounding is her specialty in the paint.

2024, 5'7, CG, Muir HS, [player_tooltip player_id='835370' first='Truth' last='Evans']

Truth ignites the court like a firecracker, she has boundless energy and explosive movement. She is such an aggressive defender and she usually finds herself marking the opposing team's top player where she is relentless in her pursuit for the ball. She also has some nice speed so she seamlessly transitions to offense where she charges down the court to deliver precise passes or execute shots in the paint.

2024, 5'4, PG, Tesoro HS, [player_tooltip player_id='835373' first='KiKi' last='Zeppos']

Watching Kiki play is a blast. As a senior in her last season, she brings so much joy to the games. Even though she's small, she's super quick and always in the right spot on the court. She consistently capitalizes from those long passes from her teammates making her clean lay ups look easy. Kiki reads the game well on both ends and when it comes to defense she's a pro at keeping her opponent from getting a shot off during full court press situation.

2024, 5'5, CG, Sylmar HS, [player_tooltip player_id='835375' first='Mia' last='Ceja']

Ceja is a strong point guard who can play a little shooting guard as well. Good court vision with perfect, on target passes to teammates especially in transition. Comfortable with the ball in her hands and being a shot creator for herself as well. She has good footwork offensively. Solid baseline drives and dish to teammates. She's an active on ball defender who keeps a proper stance and slides her feet.

2024, 5'11, SF, LA Marshall HS, [player_tooltip player_id='835378' first='Jeda' last='Taylor']

Taylor is a versatile forward with a strong skill-set. She can handle the ball, especially in transition. She's comfortable as a primary shot creator. Her offensive strength lies in her ability to get to the basket and to post up against smaller defenders. She can snatch rebounds and start the fast break. A finisher at the basket. She creates transition opportunities with her defense as well. Good shot blocker.

2024, 5'6, SF, San Marino HS, [player_tooltip player_id='835382' first='Malia' last='Yu']

Yu stood out as a ball-handling forward. She has good height and length and is very mobile. Able to start the fast break off her own rebounding. She's hard to stop when she's attacking downhill. She can get to the basket and draw contact to get to the free-throw line. Good player in transition.
