The state’s most coveted basketball star has brought her electrifying talent to the metro area. Standing at an imposing 6’6”, this dynamo, destined for the next level, has transferred from Corona/Vaughn to Albuquerque Academy for the 2025-26 season.

Dunn’s resume is nothing short of jaw-dropping: in just 68 games, she’s racked up 57 double-doubles and 20 triple-doubles, amassing 1,353 points, 1,198 rebounds, and 508 blocks while shooting an impressive 52 percent from the field.

These staggering stats, however, were earned in a Cardinals uniform. As she steps into the spotlight of 4A competition, all eyes are on her. Will she dominate the court as before? Stay tuned to find out.

Listed at 6’6″, Dunn is an absolute force in the interior, and happens to be, the career leader in several statistical categories for the Class of 2027. (PTS, PPG, FG%, REB, BLK, DD and TD)

At the moment, the Two-Time All-State Selection has yielded an astonishing 1353 points, 1198 rebounds and 508 blocks in 68 games played for the Cardinals! Yep, you read that right!

In all, Dunn has logged 57 Double-Doubles AND 20 Triple-Doubles, while shooting 52 percent from the field.

Harper Dunn played with a physical edge, seeking out rebounds and altering shots at the rim with consistency. She showed comfort operating with her back to the basket, using solid footwork to carve out space. Her interior presence made her a reliable option on both ends.

Dunn, the No. 1 ranked player in the 2027 class, put up a MONSTER double-double with 24 points and 26 rebounds!! Unfortunately, No. 7 Corona/Vaughn fell short, 60-43 to No. 2 Fort Sumner/House.

Dunn is a prolific shot-blocker, who led the State in total blocks and blocks per game. In 22 games played, the 6’6″ sophomore finished with 162 blocks, which averaged out to 7.4 blocks per game respectively.

Additionally, Dunn tallied eight games with double-digit blocks for the Cardinals in 2024-25 while also setting a new career-high with 2.7 steals per game.

Despite being just a sophomore, four-star recruit Harper Dunn Harper Dunn 6'6" | C Albuquerque Academy | 2027 State #33 Nation NM has already surpassed 1,000 career points for Corona/Vaughn. During Week 8 of the 2024-25 season, Dunn registered a very rare 30/20 game vs Logan en route to achieving the milestone.

In 61 games played thus far, the 6’6″ center is averaging a commanding 19.1 points per game while shooting 52 percent from the field.

To this point, Dunn has dominated the paint with her size and length as she can easily shoot over small defenders. That said, Dunn has improved her touch and now is confident enough in her jumper to step out and fire away from distance.

In eight games played, Dunn, the no. 1 ranked player in the class of 2027, averaged 19.6 points — on 44 percent — with 20.0 rebounds and 7.6 blocks per game.

The 6’6″ sophomore finished Janurary with seven double-doubles and three triple-doubles. Moreover, Dunn had seven 20-point games, one 30-point outing and five games with 20 or more rebounds!

This past week, Dunn logged three straight double-doubles, giving the sophomore five in a row dating back to Jan. 24. Moreover, Dunn now has 14 double-doubles thus far in 2024-25.

In all, the 6’6″ Dunn averaged 17.3 points, 16.0 rebounds and 7.0 blocks per game, shooting 48 percent from the field, helping the Cardinals extend their win-streak, to three games.

During week 8, Dunn posted back-to-back monster performances at Grady and vs Logan, en route to notching her 1,000 career point.

The 6’6″ Dunn finished with a Triple-Double, logging 28 points, 25 rebounds and 11 block on Jan. 14 in 23 point road-victory over the Broncos.

Then on Jan. 17 Dunn logged 32 points, 27 rebounds and 7 blocks, in a 59-47 win at home vs the Steers! Altogether, Dunn averaged a staggering 30.0 points, 26.0 rebounds and 9.0 blocks per game.  

Dunn absolutely dominated December by averaging 20.7 points — on 48 percent shooting — 17.3 rebounds and 7.6 blocks per game.

What’s more, the 6’6″ sophomore has registered six Double-Doubles and three Triple-Doubles for the Cardinals thus far.

At the moment, Corona/Vaughn owns a 5-2 record overall.
