The following Class of 2024 studs are enrolled in the smallest public schools in New Jersey and represent some of the best in Group 1 across the state. At times, athletes from small schools don't get nearly enough media coverage or the recognition they so rightfully deserve. These ladies bring the FIRE and INTENSITY and have made a name for themselves as their respective stocks have risen throughout the course of their high school career:

[player_tooltip player_id='404449' first='Cadence' last='Anderson'] | Palmyra

Cadence's growth over the past four years has been monumental! Despite experiencing a COVID-shortened Freshman season, she still managed to score her 1,000th career point in a 27-point January outing against KIPP Cooper Norcross Academy! She has nine 20+ point games, three double-doubles and is leading her 12-3 team in points, steals, free throws and 3-pointers. Cadence recorded a career-high in points in a win over Gloucester (28) where she nearly outscored the opponent entirely by herself (48-33). Her commitment to excellence on both sides of the ball makes her ultra-dangerous, especially looking ahead to the South Jersey, Group 1 playoffs in 3 weeks. She is averaging 20.7 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 3.1 apg & 4.9 spg through 15 games thus far.

[player_tooltip player_id='325191' first='Angelina' last='Zagone'] | Gateway

Throughout the course of her four-year career, Angelina has been a double-double machine and one of the most prolific scorers in Group 1. Sitting at 1,462 points, she had torched opponents from just about anywhere on the floor, getting it done under the basket just as efficiently as behind the arc. She has recorded four double-doubles on the season and a career-high 18 rebounds in a mid-January game against West Deptford. She plays with fearlessness and is Gateway's reliable do-it-all superstar who leads them in scoring, rebounds, blocks, 3-pointers and free throws. At the time of this article, she is just three 3-pointers away from 100 for her career and three rebounds away from 600. Through 15 games, Angelina is averaging 17.4 ppg, 7.9 rpg, 1.2 apg & 1.3 bpg en-route to a 5-1 conference record.

[player_tooltip player_id='489489' first='Erin' last='Fahy'] | Cresskill

Erin does most of her damage in and around the paint... and boy is she impactful! She has a strong two-way game and has emerged into a superb rim-protector over the years! Her fierce play has produced seven double-doubles this season, set a career-high in points ( 31 against Tenafly), steals (5 against Midland Park in December) and tied a career-high in blocks (4 against Midland Park in January). Erin also scored the 1,000th point of her incredible career in a mid-January game versus Waldwick. The milestones may keep on coming, as she is just 8 steals shy of 100 and 84 rebounds from 900. Through 18 games, she is posting averages of 17.1 ppg, 9.5 rpg, 1.2 apg, 1.7 spg & 1 bpg.

[player_tooltip player_id='588715' first='Skyla' last='Acosta'] | North Arlington

As the primary post on her team, Skyla commands the low post and imposes her will underneath the basket. With six double-doubles, three 20+ point games and career-bests in points (27) and rebounds (17) under her belt this season, she has shown tremendous growth from her Freshman season to the mid-way point of her final campaign with the Vikings. The 6-foot low block bully leads them in scoring, rebounds and free throws while ranking second in blocks. She is averaging a double-double at 10 ppg and 10 rpg to go along with 1.3 bpg. Already having eclipsed 500 points this season, Skyla is just 37 rebounds shy of 500 for her career.

Jaclyn DeShields | Middlesex

A player who has found herself on my social media "Standouts" report several times this season, Jaclyn brings a ton of electricity and firepower to this Blue Jays squad. With six games in double-figure scoring, a career-high in points (15 points against Koinonia and Woodbridge) and a career-high in rebounds (9 against Woodbridge), she has upped the ante and totally stepped up her game. She eclipsed her 100th career 3-pointer this season and is averaging 9.1 ppg and 4.3 rpg while banking in nearly three 3's per contest. With playoffs in a few weeks, it seems that Jaclyn is peaking at just the right time to help guide Middlesex to a deep run in the state tourney.

[player_tooltip player_id='325169' first='Morgan' last='Marshall'] | University

One of the fiercest talents in all of Group 1, Morgan is one of the most complete players in the state. She is equal parts scorer, facilitator and lockdown defender, wreaking havoc on opponents all season long and ultimately, all career long. Her grit and tenacity has helped the Phoenix achieve a 14-2 record with huge wins over Lake Minneola (FL), Pope John, Trenton Catholic and Mount St. Mary. She has recorded four 20+ point games this season and leads her team in scoring while ranking second in assists, blocks and steals. Morgan eclipsed 1,000 career points in a mid-January blowout win against Caldwell and is averaging 17.2 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 3.1 apg and 3.8 spg through 15 games played.

The following Class of 2024 studs are enrolled in the smallest public schools in New Jersey and represent some of the best in Group 1 across the state. At times, athletes from small schools don't get nearly enough media coverage or the recognition they so rightfully deserve.
