For my non-bracket article, I want to highlight some sparks off the bench who could swing a game for a team by giving their team a solid five to ten-minute spurt.   [player_tooltip player_id='520094' first='Hallie' last='Koltz']   Koltz is the best example of a team with so much talent, and you can't start all of them. The Crusader junior is a versatile kid who'll play north of 20 minutes in every game and does positive things in her minutes. Her shooting is the aspect of her game that can lift the Crusaders past some of the heavy hitters in D3, but her defense and ability to play under pressure will be equally valuable. Her coaches have trusted her to help break presses and use her length to bother some of the talented wings in the Classic Eight.   Emmy Fane   I'm not sure if anyone in the state has more support from within their group than Emmy Fane, and her teammates wanted to see me write about her a great deal, and after the Neenah game, she deserves it. The frontline at Hortonville has two future D1 kids, [player_tooltip player_id='209902' first='Kallie' last='Peppler'] (Milwaukee) and [player_tooltip player_id='266988' first='MiKayla' last='Werner'] (St. Thomas). However, Fane gives the Polar Bears solid minutes when one of Werner or Peppler sits, and against Neenah, Fane was a part of the run that eventually won Hortonville the game. She plays with some physicality against some of the most physical kids in the state, and she knocked down a three in the second half against the Rockets. She may not play as many minutes as others in this article, but she may be a part of five-person lineups that give teams fits.   [player_tooltip player_id='842226' first='Maria' last='Hilbert']   The DSHA wing has plenty of room to grow, but she's someone who can make momentum plays at any moment. She's an athletic 5-11 kid who does an excellent job using her athleticism to her advantage on both ends of the floor. She shows flashes of a kid who could end up as an all-conference level kid, and if she's at her best, the Dashers could give Brookfield East some fits if they get by Lincoln.   Malaya Taylor   Guards win games in March, Tosa East has more than they can play at once, and Taylor is the x-factor of the bunch. She transferred from Brookfield Academy and has been a rotational piece for them. However, her defensive potential is what could push the Red Raiders over the hump in close games. She's as athletic a guard as anyone in the state, and she is an aggressive defender who knows why she's on the floor. In possible matchups against Wisconsin Lutheran, Whitefish Bay, or Pius, look for her to play a significant role if the Red Raiders need to slow a guard or two down.
