She scored at Will near the bucket on her first attempt and off of missed shot attempts by others, she rebounded on both sides of the ball while others tried to drag her down physically, and she blocked 11 shot attempts by the opposing team in the middle of the lane. This is definitely one of our more impressive stat lines on the Winter season as a whole. Now we just have to see how much further they can take things as the Playoff’s push onward.

Nimble Amble’s ability to jump in to help position on defense, combined with her long reach, led to a crucial steal with 1:15 left when Roland Story was threatening. Her rebounding presence was huge all night for the Lions as well. The Wartburg commit finished the night with 6 points (where she kept the ball high on offensive putbacks), 10 rebounds, 2 steals and a block — I really enjoyed watching her defend.

Amble has recently committed to Wartburg to continue on with her basketball journey. This is a solid pickup for the power house that is D3 – Wartburg. A group that is always on top of their conference should have the means to really shape Amble into a productive prospect at that level. She puts up some respectable numbers at the high school level but I’m more interested in seeing how she turns out in college. If she can get things to click a little bit more, who knows how good she could become.

The tallest prospect that the state of Iowa has to offer is still on the board but that might not be for long. Ashleigh Amble Ashleigh Amble 6'4" | C/PF Clear Lake | 2026 State IA of Clear Lake has shown steady improvements from when she was a Freshman. When you have a hooper at this size, it all comes down to coordination, touch, knowledge of the game, and the willingness to be physically dominant. Amble has a few of those already under her belt and she is currently continuing to work on the rest. With guidance and determination, the promise is obviously there. You can’t teach height and with someone at a legit 6’5, who knows where she might take things at the end of the day.

Amble has a solid base to build on over time. She is still extremely raw on both sides of the floor but her size helps her control a lot of the things that happen in the middle of the painted area’s. Each night she puts up note worthy numbers during the Winter season with her high school team and I’m hoping that trend continues into the collegiate levels one day. This is someone with a lot of interest from different programs around the Midwest at the next level. Now it’s all about finding her fit.

Amble seems to be receiving a different offer every other week during this time of the year because of her mixture of size, coordination, touch, and production with her AAU squad on the road. If you aren’t aware, Amble is the tallest prospect that the state of Iowa has to offer at the high school level currently 6’5. Moving forward, the offers will continue to come until Amble commits. You don’t see players this tall very often so everyone is extremely interested in who Amble might be able to become somewhere down the line.

The tallest prospect that the state of Iowa has to currently offer just received an impressive offer from D3 – Wartburg. This is the top of the top when it comes to D3 offers from both a state and national perspective. The Wartburg crew plays some flawless basketball at times and their system in which they get players acclimated seems to be fool-proof. Amble obviously brings a lot of potential on both sides of the floor at 6’4/6’5. She moves really well for her size and she demonstrates some coordinated balance. If she continues to work on her touch and the mental side of the game, she could be a killer for years to come on the hardwood.

Super long and lanky, one of the longest wingspans I have seen. She uses her length to be big on the offensive boards as she moves her feet well and does a nice job of getting into position. Just needs to be a bit more aggressive, but her size is tough to coach. Listed at 6’4″, I would say she may be closer to 6’5″. Soft touch at the rim.

When I had Amble listed at 6’3 to start the year and then later measured her at 6’5 during our PGH Fall Showcase, I was blown away. From what I’ve seen as of late, Amble is starting to put it together as a prospect out on the hardwood. Today in her team’s first contest of the weekend, she ended things with 7 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 blocks. As you can tell opponents don’t understand how lengthy Amble truly is as she protects the lane. If you are competing against her and don’t pay attention once you beat your original defender, it’s going to usually end in a block, tip, or deflection by Amble to end the play. That happened today on several occasions. Hopefully tomorrow she can keep things rolling and do the same.

Another prospect with great size and a better than average potential is Ashleigh Amble Ashleigh Amble 6'4" | C/PF Clear Lake | 2026 State IA of Clear Lake High School. Amble comes in at 6’4/6’5, making her the tallest prospect in the state of Iowa and one of the tallest prospects in the Midwest in general. In Amble’s previous contest, she recorded double-digits in points, along with registered 7 blocks on the defensive end. This is a just a highlight of what Amble could possibly do in the future. This is someone with a lot of raw potential. If she can work on the correct things moving forward, who knows where she could take things at the end of the day. I’m sure her height alone will bring in college interest, from there, who knows.
