Here we highlight some of the top newcomers.
Fenn is a prototype stretch four who can come out to the perimeter and light it up. The University of Indiana commit has a quick release and has textbook form. Syd also is a very good rebounder and can battle in the paint when needed.
Lia Sims Lia Sims 5'9" | SF Central | 2024 State AZ Central
Sims is a bundle of energy and is always in attack mode on both offense and defense. On offense she gets good elevation on her shot and likes to initiate contact when going into the paint. On defense she has active hands and quick feet.
The University of Buffalo commit is a traditional point guard that plays the right way. She’s looking to run the offense and get the best shot possible. She will push the pace when the opportunity is there.
Bri’Ann Felix Bri’Ann Felix 5'9" | SF Copper Canyon | 2024 State AZ Copper Canyon
The recent Phoenix College commit appears to be just scratching the surface of her potential. Her athleticism and motor are off the charts. She gives the same effort on defense as she does on offense. The sky is the limit for Felix.
Gianna Whiteside Gianna Whiteside 5'11" | PF AZ Compass Prep | 2024 State AZ AZ Compass
Gianna is a tough post player who knows how to bully defenders. She has soft hands and a soft touch from the free throw line in. She is also a good rebounder that establishes position very well.
Strickland came onto the scene as strictly a shooter. The lefty has a quick release and can go on very hot streaks. Her defense has made big strides recently as she can sit and make ball handlers very uncomfortable.
Kelly is an under the radar prospect who does a little of everything. She can handle the ball as well as pass it. She doesn’t force the action on offense. On defense she has the size and athletic ability to guard multiple positions.
