Graham is a fluid athlete. She can score in transition, from the high post, the foul line, or with either hand around the rim. She is a consistent scorer who can flat-out jump over her defender. Graham also sets great screens and rolls hard to the hoop. When she rolls, she can catch and score through any defense. A year ago, she shot over 5 free throws per game. Additionally, Graham is a fantastic defender who blocks shots and creates steals. She averaged nearly 18 points, 11 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 blocks per game as a sophomore.

Malia Graham is a special athlete. She is bouncy, she is talented, she plays hard, and she runs well. Graham can score over smaller players in the paint or make a quick move around the defender. She is an amazing rebounder and times her jumps well around the rim. When the ball is shot, Graham attacks the paint looking for the rebound. She is a double-double machine who is prepared to turn some heads on the floor this July.

Malia had a good game this afternoon when I was present, and she did a lot of good things on the court. She runs the floor well and is able to finish at the rim through contact. Good length, athletic and able to create. Playing for the S40 team, Malia will have chances to shine on some big courts, none bigger this weekend than here in Ohio.

Malia Graham was a big reason her East Columbus team made it to the state championship, and I don’t just mean big due to her height. She is quick with her decision making knowing exactly what to do off the pass using jab steps or shot fakes to lose her defenders getting around them easily to bank the ball off the glass. She protects the basket on the other end hustling back blocking shots with ease, and she uses her length to deflect passes inhibiting her opponents from getting a play going.
