Wilburn earned several local honors after a great junior season, where she averaged 19 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.6 steals, and 1.4 blocks per game. On a nightly basis, Wilburn was doing everything for her team (kind of 2018 LeBron James).

Wilburn can hit threes over any defender, as well as take any defender to the basket, absorb the contact, and finish through traffic thanks to her confidence and physicality. If Rector needs someone to secure a rebound, she is the answer. If Rector needs a stop, either on the perimeter or in the paint, Wilburn is once again the answer, and she came through for her team time and time again last year.

In a 62-27 win over Armorel, Wilburn looked exceptional, putting up 25 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists, and 5 steals. The opposition did not know what to do with Wilburn. She was hitting just about every look from three, but the moment the defense stepped up, Wilburn would just drive inside and finish through traffic. Her vision was also on full display as she was finding open teammates every time she was doubled.

In the win over Piggott, the defense took away the option of feeding her teammates, but Wilburn still feasted. She stuffed the rest of the stat sheet with 27 points, 13 rebounds, and 5 steals, still hitting from well beyond the 3-point line.

If you are looking for the tall shooting guard that can change the game in a minute notice, then Rylee is your guard. I have seen the shooting guard play over the past few summers throughout PGH circuit among others. At each event she continues to show to be a high percentage shooter from 3-point range. The 5’10 has ball handles to play some point guard as well.

Rylee is most impressive in transition as she can run the court looking for that rim run or stretch out the defense spotting up on the wings. It is a great size at 5’10 with a strong frame showing that this young lady spends time in the weight room. The guard has drawn interest from local colleges while also receiving offers to play at the next level

As far as I can tell, Rylee Wilburn Rylee Wilburn 5'10" | SG Rector | 2027 State AR does not have any offers, which is blasphemy. Despite this, she is still one of the best players in the 2027 class, and one of 2A’s most lethal scorers.

Wilburn has already surpassed 1,000 career points in just two seasons of high school ball, and it is no wonder, consider she averaged nearly 20 points per game during the regular season. In the playoffs, the Rector star averaged over 25 points per game, while showcasing her incredible passing, rebounding, and defending abilities.

When you break down the junior guard’s offensive game, it is clear that her biggest strength is her outside shooting. Even her profile picture on this site is a picture of her shooting a triple. She nails these shots at an efficient rate, but if the outside shot is not open, Wilburn will drive inside and find other ways to score.

Wilburn has already eclipsed 1,000 career points in just two varsity seasons, and she averaged 19.5 points, 9.7 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.3 steals, and 2.5 blocks per game in 2024-25. Rector’s superstar is a dynamic scorer who can hit contested jumpers and finish through contact.

On the defensive end, Wilburn can play the passing lanes, coming away with steals every outing, but she is at her best protecting the rim. Though Wilburn is a guard, her 5’10” frame instantly makes her one of the tallest players on Rector’s roster, which meant she had to guard forwards and centers. She succeeded time and time again, establishing herself as a legitimate shot blocker.

Great size for a shooting guard at 5’10. Moves without the ball finding the open spaces for the kick out 3-pointer. Brings the versatility you are looking for in that 2-4 position. Quick on the catch to shoot or attack a weak close out for the paint touch. Good understanding of reading the defense on the drives, A good fit for any program running DDM or 5 out offense cause she can make the 3 reads (Dive, drop or kick out).

Wilburn is a big guard with a confident shooting stroke, she poses a consistent threat from the perimeter. She’s especially effective with her shot fake as she likes to use this to create space for a smooth one dribble pull up. Her size allows her to shoot over smaller defenders and adds versatility to her offensive game.

A 5’10 shooting guard out of Arkansas that I have seen play over the past 2 summers. Great ball handling skills in the open floor with the vision making the right decision. The length she brings allows her to play 2-5 positions, which is a excellent asset to have on a team. A knock down shooter from the 3-point line demands respect of the defense. Good decision on the downhill drives finishing with solid moves. Defensively she brings that 4-5 aspect with great timing for the block shots. A Top 10 ranked player in the 2027 class

Rylee Wilburn Rylee Wilburn 5'10" | SG Rector | 2027 State AR is one of the best players in all of 2A. She did seemingly everything on the court for Rector this past season and she has the potential to be able to do it again, this time for the Banshees .

Wilburn is an elite shooter who is too dangerous to be left open from beyond the arch. The problem is, if the defense closes out too hard, she can sprint by and get to the basket, where she finishes at an efficient clip. If help successfully arrives in the post, she can shoot over them with a floater or find the open teammate with a quick pass.

During the regular season, she averaged 19.5 points, 9.7 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.3 steals, and 2.5 blocks per game. She recorded 15 double-doubles throughout the year and she was recently named to the 2A-3 all-conference, all-region, and all-state teams. Wilburn has already cracked 1,000 career points, which is a ridiculous accomplishment to have under her belt as just a sophomore. She did all of this while wearing #52 (unpopular opinion: non-traditional jersey numbers are cooler).

In the postseason, Wilburn put up 25.6 points, 9.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 2.0 steals, and 5.3 blocks per game. Her defense is incredible, and even as a guard, she is a rim-protector. Wilburn’s offense is also incredible, as she has a laser from beyond the arch and she is extremely tough to stop when attacking the basket.
