Aubri Forbes
Aubri Forbes
Forbes is an athletic guard with some impressive offensive skills. She does a good job of creating her shot and getting it off while being defended, she also uses a deceptive first step to attack the basket. One big plus is she stays under control with the ball and her body control is solid, well so is her defense and upside
Mikaela Banjao
Mikaela Banjao
Banjoa mom passes by me to video on the baseline and I told her “I know who your baby is” and she laughed yet she’ll continue to laugh as her daughter progresses on the court. Her upside is scary because she already has the HEZ down pat and watching her dazzle defenders with her ballhandling got me going. Off the dribble she can dish going full speed yet her court vision is also good in transition. The hashtag #sizedontmatter fits perfectly because she can play and her “catch and shoot” is ahead of her years
Emma Harvey
Emma Harvey
Harvey is “long and athletic” which will always be the base and watching her show good timing to block shots was nice as was her rebounding and handling the ball afterward. She saw the floor in the open court, that needs to be mentioned plus she saw it in the set as well. She has a nice first step to get by the defender to score and her defense was solid
Braleigh Castle
Braleigh Castle
Castle will be crowned one of the QUEENS on the Top 100 at some point, I see it coming and here’s why. Her hands and footwork, coupled with power around the basket falls into that #THROWBACK category from yesteryear, please remember I am not a NOVICE at this. She has UPS which comes in handy for her to block shots, as well as rebound and go C2C to score yet her acrobatic finishes had me smiling, so did her defense
Leighton Blackmon
Leighton Blackmon
Blackmon is one of those players that always grabbed my attention when the immediately apply heat “on the ball”. At times, her defense was smothering, even I was sweating and had to get a drink, yet I was afraid to blink because she has quick hands and came away with steals. She also read the floor and played the passing lane and her court vision was also a big plus as she threaded the needle in taraffic
Baylee Thomas
Baylee Thomas
Thomas is a long and athletic guard that is “heady” and comprehends the simple things that will turn out to be huge down the road on her journey. She’s poised under pressure, plays within herself and does a good job of handing the ball while being tightly guarded and her decision making was also good. She saw the floor in the set as well as off the dribble
Azaira Evans
Azaira Evans
Evans has the college ready frame right now and the next-level game is developing right before my eyes, I call that Polaroid. Here’s the deal, she’s strong and powerful but when you factor in she goes AFTA everything off the rim, at this stage, is huge. I love things you can’t teach and her relentlessness and “you won’t outwork me” mindset are a couple. She also did a good job scoring around the basket after contact, interior defense was also solid
