A standout leader for Bishop Neumann, we got our first look at Cernik playing for her Nebraska Supreme team at a Puma Live Period game in mid-May. In Council Bluffs, Cernik’s game stood out. She can guard multiple positions and has the ability to get downhill quickly on any type of defender. Cernik has a game that will transition quickly to the small-college level in Nebraska and beyond. This past winter she led the Lady Cavs with 16.6 points and 6.7 rebounds per game, while also accounting for three steals per contest. Currently has spring offers from Briar Cliff, Morningside and Midland University.

It was a huge weekend for the Bishop Neumann standout with Nebraska Supreme as they went 3-1 in Oklahoma. She averaged a near double-double in four games scoring 54 points and grabbing 39 rebounds. In a 72-65 win over JBS, Cernik scored 28 points and added 14 rebounds. A “big” guard, Cernik can play defense in the post and is an excellent driver with the ball in her hands. Expect a big spring and summer for Cernik.
