One of the most overlooked stats in basketball is the assist. It is the crown jewel of a Point Guard’s ability to create and dish the rock. Take a look at some of our favorite Florida floor generals:
- Mykaylyn Davis (5-7) from Seffner Christian contributes from every area of the game and on every inch of the court. She averaged 8.2 assists per game with an unreal grand total of 246 dimes last season.
- Brooke Bogatz (5-4) from Park Vista dropped 6.6 dimes per contest last school year while adding a healthy scoring of 21 points per game. She contributes is every facet of the game by pulling down 5.9 rebounds a game and 6.1 swipes per game. Brooke played her summer ball with the Wellington Wolves and showcased that all-around talent she has.
- Josiany Canales (5-7) from Lake Minneola averaged 6.2 assists per game for the Hawks while also grabbing 7.1 boards a game. She’s got great court vision and has improved her scoring ability over the summer.
- Amari Wright (5-8) from Sandalwood is a Seton Hall commit who averaged 6.2 assists per game as a Junior. Amari spent her summer playing with FGB, and will team back up with Caitlin McGee for their last year together.
- Cara McCarthy (5-8) from Bishop Kenny plays hard the whole game and is a great teammate. She averaged 6.1 assists per game on a very talented team who have their eyes on the state tournament again.
- Courtney Moore (5-7) from PK Yonge plays her school ball with another talented team. She managed 5 assists a game while also putting up 15 ppg. Courtney is committed to play at East Tennessee State after her final high school season.
- Riana Moore (5-8) from Keys Gate averaged 5.1 dimes per contest to go with 16.4 ppg and 9.5 rpg for a fantastic stat line as a forward. She played summer ball with the Miami Suns and showed great versatility with her ability to handle the ball against pressure.
