Ava, a recent Indiana University-Kokomo commit, has continued to improve game to game, year to year. She is handling the ball with much more confidence and shooting it more consistently from the perimeter. Now she can take on the identity of a perimeter forward, she can play in the mid-post, or she can even operate around the low block, grab rebounds, and score on put-backs. Her versatility, length, and athleticism all stand out.

Ava might be a small school kid, but I think she has a game that can translate to the next level, and with a good Spring & Summer, I could see her drawing some nice small college interest. She has length, some bounce to her, plus she’s skilled inside and out. She can knock down the occasional 3-pointer when in rhythm, she can go off the bounce as well, and she’s very active in the mid-post and on the boards. She is definitely an intriguing prospect.

Ava is a very intriguing small college prospect who I think many of the Midwest’s better small colleges will be pursuing when we get to April and May. She has some length, solid athleticism, and a quiet toughness to her game. She is comfortable in the mid-post, where she can make a jumper or attack, she has a nose for the ball, and she can defend the interior. At the same time, she has a nice comfort level around the perimeter, and that part of her game is just starting to really take off. With more work, she could be a full-time wing.
