About Catherine

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Not only am I a coachable player, I am also a versatile guard that can communicate with teammates and score from all around the court and help run the floor.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I always think positively whether I am on the court or not and pick up my teammates when they are not feeling like themselves. I also make sure to give it my all in practice, games, and most importantly, school.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Basketball is my main sport that I take very seriously but I also play tennis and golf at my school for fun. I have received many high honor roll awards in school for having very good grades in my honor roll classes. I was also inducted into National Honors Society.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed many skills while playing basketball. Some skills that I have learned is leadership skills like leading my team to success, being trustworthy, and provide clear communication with my coaches and teammates, and teamwork skills like being able to adapt to different playing styles and provide good sportsmanship.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

During my freshman basketball season, my mother, who had been battling cancer, unfortunately passed away and due to her passing away during my freshman season, things got very difficult for me with sports and school. I have found ways to cope during those challenging times (like playing basketball) but I will continue to keep my head up and keep working hard to make my mother proud.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for any college that offers women's basketball and Sports Medicine, Pre-Medical, or Architecture majors.
