Aryana is a crafty and elusive point guard who had a big time day for Lady FVV at the PGH MI College Tour II. She has excellent balance, touch, footwork, and finishing dexterity at the rim. Aryana side stepped the final defender to score a sweet reverse with her inside hand, used a killer double-crossover move to blow by her girl for a left handed finish, and kissed a soft layup off the glass after a swift spin dribble. Aryana sprinted back to stop transition points, closed out hard to block a shot on the perimeter, and poked the ball away with her quick hands. She showed off her speed after securing a defensive board, pushing the ball the length of the court to score a layup in traffic.

Aryana Slater was another standout guard for Detroit Mumford, and watching her alongside Gabby Foster made the backcourt a lot of fun to watch. Even in the loss, Slater played with relentless effort on both ends of the floor, showing the poise, awareness, and confidence of a much more experienced player. She has excellent court vision and decision-making, consistently running the offense and creating opportunities for teammates.

Slater is a dynamic scorer as well, capable of attacking the rim, pulling up off the bounce, and hitting jumpers from distance. She also competes defensively, applying pressure on the ball, staying active in passing lanes, and challenging shots. Her combination of speed, skill, and basketball IQ makes her one of the top point guards in her class. Colleges will take notice of how well she competes at a high level, demonstrating leadership, maturity, and the ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor. Slater’s performance in this game shows she has the potential to be a cornerstone player for Mumford and a future standout at the next level.

Aryana is a guard whose stock went up at the LBI Mitten Opening. Her shifty ball-handling, court vision, defensive effort, constant rebounding, and uptempo style caught my attention. Aryana snagged a defensive board, pushed it up the court with both hands, side-stepped a defender using a euro-step, and finished the layup with her left hand. Aryana split the gap with a quick crossover dribble, accelerated, and finished with the layup. I noted that Aryana had good command of the ball, and she’s a solid prospect from Mumford to keep on your radar.

A fierce competitor, she made an impact all over the floor—finishing with power at the rim and flashing her skill with a smooth step-back three. Her strength and athleticism stood out, and defensively, she was active with quick hands, forcing turnovers and disrupting plays. Aryana’s presence was felt from start to finish as she consistently made things happen for her team.
