The August rankings came out earlier this month for the state of Louisiana. An abundance of quality players who were added to update the 2025 list. The Boot has an assortment of high quality players. In this August review of the rankings, we will highlight some additions to the list.

* Highlighted additions will be placed in alphabetical order

[player_tooltip player_id='668598' first='Brynnan' last='Boyd'] (5'7" | St. Thomas More) - Boyd is about as steady as they get at the point guard. She is a polished ball-handler and can run an offense very effectively. Boyd can stretch the floor with the three point shooting as well. She is a point guard first but is very deadly when she scores also.

[player_tooltip player_id='961319' first='Kaylee' last='Bradley'] (5'5" | Oakdale) - Bradley is a player who gets it done on both ends of the floor. She is an "in your face" type defender who believes in ball pressure. Offensively, she can drive, dish, and shoot. She plays fast and she is productive on the floor. In other words, she is trouble for defenses.

[player_tooltip player_id='668606' first='Kaylee' last='Dublin'] (6'0" | Archbishop Chappelle) - Dublin is a nimble post player who has a well-rounded game. Defensively, she is a shot blocker who can block shots and keep them in bounds. Offensively, she scores from the block and the paint with ease at times. Dublin is a handful in the post.

Gabe Guillory (5'7" | Westlake) - Guillory is a guard who likes to attack. She is very intuitive and reads situations well on offense. Gabe knows when to attack the paint or to use her jumper. When she drives, she can finish with either hand. Guillory plays with pace and makes defenses pay for mistakes.

[player_tooltip player_id='668591' first='Alyssa' last='Hillard'] (5'8" | Ponchatoula) - Hillard is a relentless worker on offense. She rebounds very well for a guard. Hillard scores consistently from the mid-range as well. She is as fearless as they come attacking the rim and places a ton of pressure on defenses because of her multiple talents.

Maleigha James (5'4" | Barbe) - James is one of the better two-way players in the 2025 class. She is a guard who reads passing lanes and anticipates well. James can turn defense into offense in a heartbeat. Maleigha is shoots it well from the perimeter and can get to the rim. She is a high level talent.

[player_tooltip player_id='961327' first='Cambrieion' last='Link'] (5'6" | White Castle) - Link is another guard who makes plays on both ends of the court. Cambrieion can attack the rim from the wing, spot up off the ball, or score in the paint. She is very good in transition whether it is as a finisher or a passer. Link does multiple things well on the floor.

Cimiya Rideaux (6'2" | Zachary) - Rideaux is a difference-making inside presence. She is very hard to defend when she anchors herself in the paint. Cimiya scores almost when she wants when she is close to the basket. Her defense, as a deterrent in the paint, is also very good.

[player_tooltip player_id='498715' first='Samora' last='Sampson'] (5'10" | Gibsland-Coleman) - Sampson is one of the most complete players in the class. She is a bonafide top ten talent. Sampson can take over basketball games whether scoring, rebounding, or defending. She makes others around her better as well. Samora is as good as they get.

[player_tooltip player_id='668599' first='Layla' last='Tell'] (5'11" | Haynesville) - Tell's talent with the basketball has shown through since she began playing at Haynesville. She is a multiple level scorer who uses her length to defend all over the floor. Her basketball IQ helps her be a difference maker on the floor. Tell has a very high ceiling as a player.

PGH Louisiana had over twenty young ladies added to the rankings in August. The young ladies above will be some of the players to watch during this showcase season. They will be a big part of their team's success when the season comes.

The August rankings came out earlier this month for the state of Louisiana. An abundance of quality players who were added to update the 2025 list. The Boot has an assortment of high quality players. In this August review of the rankings, we will highlight some additions to the list.
