I had a chance to see [player_tooltip player_id='895665' first='Legaci' last='McCray'] compete this past AAU season a few different times and each contests that I was in attendance for, she was giving it her all, leaving it all on the floor, and doing what she could at the 2/3 position, while only standing around 5'6-5'7. McCray will compete with Central High School for her next four years and she could make an impact in one way or another. She shows that she is a solid teammate, that just wants what's best for everyone else around her, which is something I think everyone from an outside point-of-view can respect. McCray thrives on the hardwood because of her high motor and ferociousness. As long as that stays consistent, I'm sure she will see success at the high school level.

Another player that I would consider an undersized Combo Forward is [player_tooltip player_id='896716' first='Mya' last='Sawyer']. Sawyer is someone else that thrives on the court because of her high motor. She understands near the basket where the ball is going to land on missed shots, she moves relentlessly, and she isn't afraid to mix it up with anyone that might be bigger than her. Sawyer will compete with Westview out of Omaha for her high school career. If she keeps on expanding her game out, as she stays consistent near the bucket, she will be averaging more than 10 PPG before you know it.

[player_tooltip player_id='885902' first='Taylor' last='Brumbaugh'] is going to be used as a "Swiss-army knife"- type prospect for her Elkhorn South Storm team this Winter by the looks of it. The Varsity team does have several guards returning from a year ago so I'm not sure if she will see that level of competition right away but over-time, it could definitely happen. Brumbaugh showed this AAU season that she can be a standout, no matter the opponent is maybe facing. As long as she does the same to start off this 2024-2025 high school season, I'm sure she will continue to flourish. Just like she ended off her Summer.

Duchesne High School out of Omaha had a few Freshman come into their program last season and change their dynamic. They stuck with their upperclassmen in big moments but in general, they had prospects from all different grade levels step up in different ways and that led to some good things happening for them as a whole. This Winter, someone who will join their program is 5'8 Guard, [player_tooltip player_id='920269' first='Miriam' last='Samuelson']. Samuelson is versatile in what she does. On the AAU scene, she moved before several different spots on the perimeter, even mixing it up on the inside at times when she drove or cut to the basket when she was off of the ball. I think Samuelson could come in right away and play some meaningful minutes, no matter what level she competes at to start things off. She has shown glimpses of solid promise here and there over the past year and I'm excited to see where that leads.

With the level of competition and the Varsity roster that they will be returning, it's not crazy to think that 5'9 - PF, [player_tooltip player_id='903912' first='Zoey' last='Branon'] could get a shot to see the Varsity floor right away. Scotsbluff will have two Seniors coming back from last Winter, with a handful of underclassmen ready to step up. If Branon can show in practice that she deserves the spot, then everything else becomes more simple in the grand scheme of things. She will be able to learn on the bench behind some people with experience and she will also expand her game, while even getting some minutes herself. All we can do for now is see how it all plays out and hope for the best.
