Abby posted 12 points and 8 rebounds in a 36-33 win over Rome. Slaton cashed in from multiple spots. She cut for baskets, converted an And-1 and drained a three with a handful of free throws sprinkled in. Abby did not need much space to get a clean look at the basket.

During Dawson County’s magical run to the Elite Eight, Abby Slaton stepped up time and time again with clutch performances. She averaged 10.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game but her ability to shoot the long ball was what really made her dangerous. Abby’s outside shooting helped open up driving lanes and allowed her twin towers inside more room to work one-on-one.
