Heinje is the kind of versatile, high-IQ player who finds countless ways to influence winning. The 5-foot-10 Waubay-Summit standout is a polished three-level scorer who shoots confidently from deep, creates in the mid-range and can get past defenders to finish at the basket. Her impact extends well beyond scoring. Addison rebounds effectively, creates opportunities for teammates and uses her length, athleticism and anticipation to disrupt opponents defensively. She averaged 20 points, 10 rebounds and 3.4 assists last high school season, but the numbers tell only part of the story. Heinje’s feel for the game, competitive edge and ability to consistently make productive plays make her a compelling next-level prospect.
Judging from her film, Heinje is one of those small-school standouts who simply knows how to play the game. The 5’10 forward has a complete package and impacts winning in just about every possible way. She shoots it beautifully from deep with a smooth, confident release, but she’s equally comfortable attacking the mid-range, rebounding, creating for teammates, or forcing turnovers defensively. Heinje plays with intensity and energy on every possession, and her basketball IQ really shines through. She makes smart reads, understands spacing, and consistently puts herself in position to succeed. The production speaks for itself – 20 points, 10 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game – but it’s the feel for the game and competitive edge that make her special.
Addison is a top prospect with the physical traits, basketball IQ, and the intangibles to have a long career in basketball. Most recently at the Top Prospects Expo in Sioux Falls I was able to cover her game and left the combine as impressed with this young lady as anyone. She vaulted up the leaderboard in our latest rankings. She has a complete scoring game as she can knock down 3’s, create and hit mid-range jumpers, and blow by defenders to get to the rim and finish. A competitor, she plays tough-nosed defense and will get after rebounds as well. One of the highest ceilings in the state, I expect Addison to continue to improve and a be a household name by her junior year.
Addison is an intriguing forward prospect out of Wilmot, SD. She features a 5’10” athletic frame and a good understanding of the game at a young age. She poured in a school record 50 points in a game this season! In that game she went 21-25 from the FT line! This young lady looks to be a scoring machine and is a name to keep your eye on as we head towards the 2024-25 basketball season!
