The Sheboygan native is among the top lead guards remaining in her class. Few kids play with as much creativity as Verhagen, which led to success for the Crusaders in the past three seasons. Verhagen can score from all three levels, create for others, and does a solid job keeping her team’s offense organized. The Crusader is currently unsigned but has drawn interest from regional programs.

The Sheboygan Lutheran guard’s creativity is among the best in the state. Since she plays at a D4/D5 school, we may not see the best in her because of the talent around her. However, at her best, she gets the best out of everyone around her. Verhagen is at her best as an initiator who gets things going and finds aggressive passes that lead directly to layups or open shots. Being someone who has to look to score herself, I feel, doesn’t suit her. However, it’s how she must play at the high school level to win. She could be a steal for a small school at the next level.
