About Ahnaka

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'm a high-energy point guard/shooting guard known for my strong court vision and consistent three-point shooting. I bring a high basketball IQ and make smart decisions that elevate team play.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'm a fun, upbeat person who loves to laugh and get along with just about anyone

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

National Honor Society and volunteer for a variety of business functions. I also work out and train youth sports athletes.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve really developed my teamwork and leadership skills through playing basketball. As a point guard, I’ve learned how to communicate effectively, keep my teammates motivated, and make quick decisions that help the team succeed. Leading by example and supporting others on and off the court has taught me the value of trust and collaboration.

Ahnaka will be a key contributor again this winter, and she showed her potential at the Zero Star Showcase. Ahnaka is a deadly shooter if you leave her open, and she showed it during the games. Ahnaka buried a wing three and added a deep corner triple beyond the college line. She scored a left-handed layup off the dribble and drove downhill with a burst to score layups off two feet during the 1v1 segment. Ahnaka moved to open space during 2v2 and drilled a smooth jumper up top off the catch.

Ahnaka’s aggressive and active defense creates deflections and steals–she’s a determined rebounder. Ahnaka has the potential for a breakout day at the Zero Star Showcase tomorrow.

She works hard on defense to create steals, buries perimeter jumpers, and threads accurate passes to teammates for assists. Ahnaka had a near double-double against Chelsea with 16 points and 9 rebounds, burying three rainbow threes with balanced footwork and a textbook follow-through.
