Alana is a big paint presence for Ellensburg as she stands at 6’4″. There are very, very few players who can match up against her, so she is often left with a mismatch down in the paint. She has a nice touch around the rim and finishes at a high percentage, even through traffic. Defensively she blocks shots effectively and knows how to reads the ball off the rim well.

Ellensburg pressures teams non stop with their defensive scheme and she fits in perfectly as that 2nd line of defense. If teams make it that far. With the loss of Olivia Anderson Olivia Anderson 6'6" | PF Ellensburg | 2023 State #37 Nation WA , Marrs will be counted on to step up both on offense and defense next season, and should be up for the challenge. Ellensburg hasn’t lost a game in two years, so she is a proven winner and used to being at the top which only helps the cause. Also a standout volleyball recruit, she an athlete with good pedigree.

Alana has a lot of length inside for the two time defending champion Ellensburg. They lost some interior play to graduation this season in top recruit Olivia Anderson Olivia Anderson 6'6" | PF Ellensburg | 2023 State #37 Nation WA . That doesn’t mean the cupboard is bare. Alana can protect the paint with the best of them using her length. She is also capable of picking up some scoring slack left behind by Anderson. Although she might be a bigger volleyball recruit, she can hold down the paint in hoops. rn

Alana is a fantastic rim protector for Ellensburg. She has great size and is quick on her feet so not many players are able to finish easily around her. She has great footwork on the offensive end, being able to settle in the post and make a move on her defender. Her game is only going to continue to grow.

She is a 6’4 rim protector who plays alongside 6’6 Olivia Anderson Olivia Anderson 6'6" | PF Ellensburg | 2023 State #37 Nation WA at the back end of the pressure defense that Ellensburg plays. With size and skills to go with it, I don’t see anyone beating this team for the 2nd year in a row.
