In hard-fought contests against good teams, a team needs all the production it can get against a top-tier foe. The War Eagles of 4A Gray Collegiate got that from Gartmon as her 17 points made a massive difference in a tough contest against 5A Division 2 Socastee. Gray Collegiate earned a 63-53 win over the Braves. Defensively, Gartmon will play defense on the perimeter and her length can particularly make things difficult as she keeps her arms outstretched on the defensive side of the floor. Late in the contest with the Braves, she found success from deep as she drained a few 3-pointers from the corner.  

The War Eagles of 4A Gray Collegiate have had a stellar start to its 2025-26 campaign and the 11 points that Gartmon placed on the scoreboard against a tough SCISA 4A out in First Baptist continued the superb play coach Brandon Wallace’s team has had. One can place Gartmon in a team’s lineup at either of the guard spots in the backcourt. A 3-point shot is part of her overall offensive arsenal but she particularly makes things difficult for opposing defenses with the speed and quickness she has when attacking the rim. The skilled sophomore will also corral her fair share of rebounds. 

Another Midlands school has also been active in the portal – a 4A school to be exact. Gartmon is moving from 4A Gilbert to a region rival of Gilbert – Gray Collegiate and coach Brandon Wallace to be exact. Gartmon is another who first played at the varsity level as an eighth grader and followed up a solid campaign two seasons ago with an impressive freshman season for Gilbert. She averaged 11 points, 3.7 rebounds and two steals a contest. Gartmon joins a War Eagles team that finished 17-7 last season and second in its region only behind eventual 4A champion North Augusta.
