Alexis, a post player for HB Elite , is one to watch heading into the MI College Tour III at Grand Valley this weekend. She makes a strong impact inside, using her size to control the boards and create second-chance opportunities. When she catches the ball in the paint, she draws attention from multiple defenders but stays composed and continues to battle through contact. Defensively, Alexis protects the rim effectively, keeping her hands high and altering or blocking shots with consistency. Her presence in the paint on both ends gives her team a reliable interior anchor.

Alexis is a rebounder, and her height causes problems! When she gets the ball inside, the defense collapses on her. I like how she keeps her composure and battles! Nice job keeping her arms straight up and blocks with ease! (Below on defense)

Alexis made a great first impression last summer, had a solid showing at the PGH Freshman Showcase, and became an instant contributor at the varsity level for Elk Rapids. Alexis averaged nine points, eight rebounds, and 2.2 blocks per game, receiving 2nd Team All-Conference honors. She’s physical in the post, works hard to establish inside position on the block, finishes using either hand, rebounds, and protects the rim. Alexis will be a post prospect on HB Elite 15U to watch this Saturday at the PGH MI College Tour.

Alexis, a freshman post player for Elk Rapids, is putting together an outstanding debut season and already making her presence felt in the paint. She works hard to establish great position on the block, sealing defenders and creating high-percentage opportunities where she can finish confidently with either hand. On the glass, Alexis is relentless, cleaning up rebounds on both ends and giving her team valuable second chances. She runs the floor extremely well for a post player, sprinting rim-to-rim to create early offense opportunities, and on the defensive end she anchors the lane as a strong rim protector. For a freshman, her poise, physicality, and impact are well beyond her years.

Alexis had great chemistry with Team 3 at the Freshman Showcase and was very impactful for them around the basket. Alexis sealed defenders and provided an excellent target for entry passes. She caught the ball with soft hands and finished two layups off two feet with her off-hand. Alexis demonstrated good passing instincts when her shot wasn’t there, dishing dump-off passes to cutters and kickouts to open shooters for assists. Alexis battled for position to secure rebounds on both ends and is going to be an immediate impact player for Elk Rapids this winter.

Alexis is a promising post prospect from Elk Rapids who I enjoyed seeing for the first time at the Big North Shootout. She demonstrated excellent awareness by passing out of triple-teams on the block. Alexis created passing windows for teammates with her strong seals and battled to secure rebounds on both ends. Alexis dished a great wrap-around pass to an open teammate and caught a lob with soft hands to score a layup. She is a 6-footer we are thrilled to have at the PGH Freshman Showcase in August!
