Lopez, one of the top players in her class in New York, did not disappoint. A dynamic guard with an explosive first step, elite handle, and exceptional footwork, she creates separation with ease and can score in a variety of ways. Her ability to attack downhill, utilize spin moves, and finish with a soft floater makes her difficult to contain. She possesses excellent court vision, consistently reads the defense, and delivers accurate passes off drive and kick opportunities. Defensively, Lopez is equally impressive, using active hands, quick reactions, and strong positioning to disrupt passing lanes, contest shots, and jump to the ball. A high-IQ playmaker with elite shot creation and a complete skill set.

Lopez is really quick in the open court and loves to push the pace on the break. She can play on or off the ball, with a good handle and some flair as a passer. She gets downhill and attacks the basket, but can also hurt you from the perimeter with a quick release and fluid shooting mechanics. Has great passing instincts and loves to set her teammates up for open looks when she draws attention away from them.

Lopez is ultra-athletic and a key piece that makes everything run. What you notice first is the energy, which she plays with a relentless motor and impact on both ends. Defensively, she brings the kind of disruption teams search for: good hands, jumps to the ball, elite lateral footwork to stay in front, and the length to contest shots and slow the game down. Offensively, she’s an unselfish but dangerous scorer with great vision and playmaking ability, a confident shooter, attacks the mid-range with jumpers and floaters, and finishes around the rim with either hand.

Alyssa stood out at EYBL Session 1 in Phoenix with her high-level playmaking ability. She creates offense not just for herself but for her entire team, consistently putting teammates in position to succeed. Her motor sets her apart—she competes on every possession and brings intensity on defense, making life difficult for whoever she’s guarding.
