About Alyssa
Expert Analysis
Ryan Morgan | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Neumann is a rebounding machine as she showed in their opening game this season, pulling down 16 boards to go along with 12 points. Her length inside often goes unmatched, but she is more than your typical post. She can grab a defensive rebound and push the ball, she gets a lot of perimeter touches because of her ability to handle the ball and create chances downhill, and she can start actions outside that get their offense flowing.

Alyssa is a physical player, especially in the paint when going for rebounds off the glass. She rebounds well, grabbing 10+ almost nightly by using her height to her advantage. She has solid footwork down low and does a great job sealing opponents to get open. She could be a low D1/D2 level player during college.

Alyssa is a rebounding machine as she can easily pull down 10-12 boards every single game. She has a soft touch around the rim, having a high shooting percentage in the paint. She hits her free throws and can knock down shots if defenders are playing lazy on her too. She’s a top 2 way player in the class, having elite skills on the defensive side of the ball too.

Alyssa is a fantastic player down low, establishing her position on the block early and being able seal defenders easily. She finishes through traffic well, being able to use both hands efficiently. She crashes the glass aggressively, grabbing over 10 boards a game last season. She was one of the better post players in the entire 2025 class and will be another top post player, maybe within the entire state.

Alyssa brings good size and a back to the basket post game. She is good at establishing position on the block. Once she gets the ball that deep, she is effective with both hands around the basket. I saw this from her during the tournament, you’ll see a lot more of it during the high school season. She is a walking double double.

. She averaged 9.4 points and 6.4 rebounds playing on a state tournament team. She is capable of making shots from the outside but at 6’1″,her rebounding and presence in the paint should be most valuable to this team. She and Timmons are teammates during the high school season, and part of an up and coming 2025 class for West Seattle.

She was tough inside when she had the ball. She got herself there with one of the better spin moves I saw from this group. She was also well rounded enough to step out and hit the three. I really wish I had kept shooting stats for the girls, I don’t believe I have ever seen a higher percentage of threes made in any girls games I have watched lately. Bear with me, this is the first time I am covering the girls but I can’t imagine this happening nightly. She has a high skill level as well, and these teams get difficult to make at this point. So many were deserving, but the spin move was a factor here.
