Expert Analysis
Brandon Tinnon | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Call her an “underdog,” this young lady puts on a cape and transforms her game to reach new heights. By learning to play multiple roles and overcoming numerous challenges, she has elevated an RHS program that is knocking on the door of a postseason run. She can play with the ball in her hands or on the wing; either way, she uses her speed to create shot opportunities. From knocking down the 3-ball or getting into the paint, Amaya is averaging 17.1 ppg this season. Tack on her ability to rebound the basketball (8.1rpg), and she is a magnet to the ball. She’s a Dyersburg State signee that coaches have to game plan for. Look for her to leave her mark down the stretch as the Lady Rockets look to take off.

With a few offers in her bag, it will be interesting where she lands. However, this young lady is ready to be the leader of a Lady Rockets program that is ready to ascend upwards. A kid who brings a dawg mentality into the fold, she is a tough player who gets after it on both ends of the floor. She can score from multiple spots, make timely assists, and defend. She will look to lead a young Rockvale squad that is ready to reclaim its position in the district. Look for her to come out of the gates early and showcase to everyone that she and the Lady Rockets program are real contenders among Rutherford County’s best.

First year in the Lady Rockets program and she has impacted their squad right from the jump. She plays with an edge and she has brought even more swagger and confidence to this ball club. She can get two feet in the paint with ease to either pull up or get to the rim, knock it down from three, and then turn around and defend causing havoc for opponents. She too will get after it on the boards as well as block shots. She is a solid kid who is taking off!

Solid two-way player that can shoot it from the arc at a high clip or be creative and put it on the floor. When she is locked in, she is hard to stop as she is a grinder at both ends of the floor. This kid wears her heart on her sleeve and when she is between the lines, she’s a gamer. She isn’t afraid to lock up the other team’s best talent, she’s fearless. Look for her to add significant value to the Rockvale’s program this upcoming season. Solid ball player who is primed for a breakout year.

Nash has been awesome this season for an Oakland team that’s starting to look really dangerous at the right time. Nash had 12 points on only 6 field goals attempted in their win over Blackman. The sophomore PG is in command of the offense, and is becoming more and more confident as she continues to get big game experience under her belt.

Nash is a young combo guard with one D1 offer (Lipscomb) already in her pocket. Nash is one of the premiere shooters in the ’26 class. Playing on an ultra talented TBW ’26 team this summer, she put up major 3pt numbers. She will pull from anywhere, and loves to get out and go, and shoot the 3 ball in transition. It’s obvious she’s earned these shots in practice because of how her teammates are constantly looking for her, and her coaches have given her the ultimatel green-light.
Nash is a supreme athlete (she’s also a phenomenal sprinter on the track) and this gives her tons of potential to turn into a game changing defender, as well as a player with the quickness to attack the rim. Right now, she’s primarily known as simply a shooter, but her physical tools her her the chance to be so much more for Oakland HS this season.
