About Amira

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m known for my strong defense and relentless aggression on the court. I go after every loose ball and play with high energy from start to finish. I’m always a scoring threat and a constant hustler.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is to always be the first to the ball and give maximum effort every play. I strive to be someone my teammates and coaches can depend on. I’m known for my positive attitude and being liked by everyone both on and off the court including teammates and opponents

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Even though I’m one of the younger players on the team, I’m a team player. I help my teammates with positioning and plays. I take pride in showing up. I’ve attended 99.9% of practices and games, even on my birthday. My travel team is a Christian basketball program. We volunteer at churches and run youth camps to give back to the community

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

The hardest challenge I’ve faced was being hit by a drunk driver. My grandma and I were on our way to get lunch when a driver going over 70 miles per hour crashed into our car and another vehicle. My grandma tragically passed away from her injuries at just 47 years old. I was hospitalized for I’ve physically healed but the loss still affects me deeply.
