Brannon is a talented guard who has shown her versatility over the years by being able to not only apply pressure defensively, but offensively as well. Her “on the ball” defense baseline to baseline, as well as playing the passing lane, helped to create turnovers yet on the flip, she attacked the basket aggressively to score. She also dropped the jumper, “catch and shoot” included

Aniya is a more traditional guard who looks to pass first and create opportunities for her teammates. She is a floor general; the way she sees the court and analyzes defenses is a very mature skill she has. Also, she can make any pass to anywhere on the court due to the power and accuracy of her passes. Her skills could be very valuable to a collegiate team in the future.

Brannon is an athletic guard who has always shown passion for playing “on the ball” defense and that pressure usually leads to turnovers and scoring opportunities going the other way. Her first step to attack and finish is among the best in the area yet watching her dive for loose balls had me smiling

Brannon went completely off on opening day as she took the defender from wherever she wanted to score off the dribble, many times after contact. She always goes hard on both ends, her defensive pressure baseline to baseline was there both days as was her court vision

Brannon smoothly showed she could score off the dribble, first step and body control played a part in that, yet her finishes, at times acrobatic were nice. She also saw the floor and made good decisions, plus her “on the ball” pressure and quick hands helped to create turnovers

Brannon also had a great Peggy Whitley Classic and showed me she had turned several corners. She caught my attention at a camp prior to entering high school and I said I was going to add her a year ago after her initial Peggy Whitley Classic yet I didn’t and I have my reasoning but what she brings to the table is something that can’t be taught and watching her dive on the floor for loose balls gets her the #THROWBACK hashtag. She a tough defender with quick hands, that helps her come away with steals, she also gets steals another way, by playing the passing lane. Her decision making while running the 1 has been more than solid as she’s setting her teammates up nicely for good looks yet she’s also taking the defender off the dribble, with either hand to score as well as dropping it from outside

Brannon rhymes with cannon and her explosiveness coupled with powerful finishes paints a picture that isn’t yet dry because her acrobatic finishes along with her pull-up jumper make her hard to contain. She’s fearless and goes after loose balls yet her “on the ball” pressure baseline to baseline helps to force turnovers, so does her quick hands. Her court vision in transition as well as in the set has also gotten better
