VanDalen had me misread her name, thinking I saw Van Halen, yet I got her game right as she smoothly showed she could play multiple positions. Her ability to score in the “one on one” drills was solid, yet she also showed she could defend in the same drill, and that translated over to the 5 on 5, where her “on the ball” pressure helped create turnovers. She can be trusted with set plays to come off screens or the dribble and hit shots for the needed points. Van Dalen also has the handles to create for herself.
