Ari Moran Ari Moran 5'7" WA is the kind of point guard who makes the game look simple, and that is often the mark of a true floor general. Playing with confidence, good instincts, and a high basketball IQ, Moran brings a level of composure to the position that stands out. She is comfortable operating in the half court, makes sound decisions under pressure, and consistently keeps her team organized and moving with purpose.

One of the most fundamentally sound players I watched at the WA Freshman Showcase, Moran has a smooth shooting stroke and the ability to get downhill to put pressure on the defense. She knows how to balance her scoring with playmaking, forcing defenders to respect her shot while remaining ready to attack openings when they appear. That balance makes her difficult to read and gives her team options in the half court.

What I appreciate most about Moran’s game is her unselfishness. She understands that being a point guard isn’t about dominating the ball; it’s about controlling the flow, making the right read, and putting teammates in positions to succeed. She plays within herself, values possession, and demonstrates the kind of decision-making that helps an offense function at a higher level.

In a game where flash can sometimes overshadow fundamentals, Moran is a reminder that poise, discipline, and feel for the game still matter. She is a floor general who understands how to run a team, and her combination of shooting, downhill pressure, and unselfish play makes her a guard worth continuing to watch.

Ari is a high level guard who has incredible vision on the court. She always makes the extra pass, playing unselfishly at all times. Moran knocks down threes with ease too, off the dribble or the catch. She is excellent in the transition game, pushing the pace well and being able to out-run players. She has a Division 1 offer already as well and will continue to be a high level player to come out of the 2030 class.
